Physician heal thy body…
virtue heal thy soul
Wounds profane—blood reclaimed,
whose sutured truth is told
(Dreamsleep: September, 2020)
Soul: Essence of life
Reclaimed by His commandment....

From a Christian point of view
If I could tame these thunder thighs
And change my bold rear side
I’d feel like I’m all new
Like I reclaimed my youth
Renew my life redo purple pride
Alone with my thoughts,
together in this moment
The light cast off its shadow
—all prophecy reclaimed
(Villanova Pennsylvania: September, 2016)
Whatever dies is sure to be missed
Its void reclaimed by an optimist
At the end of the day
We shall all fade away
To a Heaven where dreams still subsist
Death indicts you
seasons past
prophets marking
spells recast
Life remortgaged
debt remains
time indentured
—hope reclaimed
(Dreamsleep: March, 2022)
Crossing Montana for the first time…
everything was changed
My heart no longer my own
—my spirit there reclaimed
(Villanova Pennsylvania: January, 2017)
There’s a voice inside that’s killing me,
slowly day by day
Each line I write, each word I speak
—is paid with time reclaimed
(Dreamsleep: October, 2019)
Being poor…
having no money
Conjoined,
yet not the same
Faith in the wind,
promises born
Wings free
—to be reclaimed
(Villanova Pennsylvania: August, 2020)
If a poem doesn’t live up
to its title
The moment is reclaimed
by time
Its chance to anoint
when read disappoints
A bell
—unable to chime
(The New Room: April, 2021)
What's in a name?
Your roots.
Your clan.
All that made me
who I am.
Offered up
in marriage,
like a sacrificial lamb.
Reclaimed now..
beause I can!

The power of one word
a sentence to shame
Whose meaning suborted
and magic reclaimed
Only one syllable
quiets the storm
Where poets can dream
—in beauty reborn
(The New Room: June 9, 2023)
In me search for understanding I came to know not what I sought.
My past and present tribulations amount to nothing in the end.
Blinded I was.
But now I can see.
It was only misplaced, and now reclaimed.
Form:
Escape in a Poem,
freedom unchained
Words come alive,
distant sirens renamed
Brevity conquers,
all urge to refrain
As magic unfolds
—the present reclaimed
(Villanova Pennsylvania: January, 2017)
Escape in a Poem,
—freedom unchained
Words now alive,
seven sirens renamed
Brevity conquers,
all urge to refrain
As magic unfolds,
—the present reclaimed
(Villanova Pennsylvania: January, 2017)
Divorce not an option,
vows to remain
The altar enmired,
betrothal reclaimed
Children all lettered,
their offspring to spin
My nuptials enduring
—faithful within
(Villanova Pennsylvania: August, 2020)
Let’s hang upon a star
my friend
And travel upon roads
that have no end
For today I peered upon your face
and reclaimed forgotten dreams
Then whitewashed memories
of earthly chaotic scenes
My soul ancient,
but my spirit new
The past a contrivance,
the future untrue
My thoughts reborn,
all feelings renamed
To christen this moment,
—its present reclaimed
(Villanova Pennsylvania: May, 2017)
Foul-mouthed chimney,
symbol of pollution.
Arrogant it stands
spewing insults skyward,
to engloom, to spite
the dwellings below.
Your flying fingers
send this umbrage fleeing,
rolling fleecy puffs
by you to be reclaimed.

underneath decaying
from yesteryear changing seasons
long past gleaned comforter of summers green
solace in soundlessness hollow,

Off in the distance,
he was whispering my name
What started as a rumor,
audible and plain
My parking meter empty,
the hour glass had run
What life only borrowed,
reclaimed—the devil’s son
(Villanova Pennsylvania: March, 2020)
No dangerous lair
Dark with menace!
From out this tree shade, antique
More gently lit, edenic
This vision face.
Afar, but untouched
By it? Not me!
Soul, reclaimed! With each bounce, arc
Lamb-spurted, and sped of lark.
Joyous and free.
Etching my name immortal
the words when left my pen
Take on a new perspective
beyond both me and them
Etching all time eternal
the future is renamed
Calling forth beyond true north
— my destiny reclaimed
(Dreamsleep: December, 2024)
To hell with your endorsement,
how false opinion reigns
My words to seek a higher realm
where spirit is reclaimed
As critics in a barrel,
the bottom layer is yours
To hum and drum reflected yarn
—self-serving au du jour
(The New Room: June, 2022)
