There’s nothing we do, save receive,
outpouring of God’s grace sublime,
as magnetism does, bliss web weave,
ensuring we heavenward climb.
As we strive, struggle and endure,
making heart pure, the only cure,
on our part giving love our nod,
leaving all outcomes up to God.
Acclimatised to feeling incomplete,
conditioned to believing in striving,
our receptivity slowly depletes,
enmeshed in ego borne doubts spiralling,
thus choosing fleeting joy, self-limiting.
In truth, all we need to do is let go
of thought forms rooted in desires shallow,
whereupon we reclaim unending bliss,
elixirous rapture, soft and mellow,
divine entwined ecstatic joy caress.

A basic life a basic me
This rhyming to my inner melody
The chords of thought
That play and dance
A constant basic of romance
To be the one whom stays observant
Sided to see the view of basic me
Basic to a place of receptivity
Life as a me basic as can be
Futile to endeavor on a journey
Me a basic to the life I lead
Basically unnoticed if not for he
The above to my below
A basic belief that never goes
Holding strong to basic
Even though it is just me
To Live, one must die;
To Control, one must yield;
To Trust, one must not ask why;
To Love, one must drop the shield.
Wisdom needs pain;
Joy needs receptivity;
Stability needs strain;
Confidence, needs humility.
True Wealth, is given to the simplistic;
True Freedom, is granted to the restrained;
True Health is given to the holistic;
True Knowledge is granted to the trained.
True happiness...True happiness?
True happiness remains unexplained...
