Nasty
I swallowed a bug on today's ride,
it tasted like a piece of rawhide,
I did begin to gag,
my mouth began to sag...
So long clean bike - but I puked with pride!...

Cattle Trail Drives
A thousand miles of dust, sweat, pushing a herd of rawhide
From Texas to Abilene, Sun boiling down, campfire at night

Fabric--Leather
I strut the bars of night
Rawhide jacket with chains
Disco gyres through punk seventies—

High on beer, Marlboro

Innocence gone from wild kisses.

Rawhide
“Say, didja get a load of that mailman’s stride?”
“If he’d been breathing any harder, I think he woulda died.”
“I think we coulda caught him, if only we’d tried.”
“I guess we got distracted by those kids out for a ride.”
“Yeah, we'll get him next time. Hey, pass the rawhide.”

Didn’t think, I’ll be pitching bales of hay
Living the cowgirl way was a rough ride
Didn’t realize I had to skin rawhide
I was raised a country girl myself
But my skills had sat on a shelf
It was back breaking work to hard for me
I just had to turn in the key
I wasn’t a young girl anymore
So, I headed straight to the door

There once was a sweet Shawnee squaw
Who left home and Ma and her Paw
They had given her life
But he’d wanted a WIFE!
So she left with that brave Checotah.

The Checotah brave was a knave
Made his fine Shawnee bride his slave
she ditched his rawhide
And left on his ride
That’ll teach that guy to behave!

Well, the horse was a fine pinto mare
Who loved men and for squaws had NO care
the woman got off
The mare she caste off
And returned to the Checotah’s lair!...
