From his pulpit the parson railed 'gainst booze
For some in his pews this wasn't good news
For so many, you see
Bootlegged on the qui vive
They all harmonized in singing the blues
Boldly soldier shemaghed scarf
Ammo railed full masked buff
Middle East catwalked explosions
Judge clowned judgement of jud
Little girl drank a cup of wuff
Beloved siblings danced a lot of goof
Bang bang bang forever prank
Clang clang clang coffins emerged
How I recall empathic tastes
Of winter frost,
And the bite of winds that railed against
The trees,
Dispersed with such unease
The deafening cries of those
Who loved and lost.
Mimicking in their jackboot stance
Upon the shore,
In the veil of mist, a carpet rolling in
The dawn,
The kettle whistle so forlorn,
The silenced tongues of those
Who loved no more.
...He brother railed at her when they were wed,
‘Uncle Tom, race traitor!”such words were said,
‘Raised by a white man, you’ll mess up your son!”
She just rolled her eyes, and said, “Are you done?”
She had no more time for her brother’s hate,
it impeded with a life that was great,
Keenan had a new dad, and soon sisters three,
no more self-destruction, no more misery.
With wounds from seasons
that have railed on ,
Candle of yearning burns to ignite flame;
That once warmed those bitter gusty nights
A reality kneading deep into the bones
While clouds of reddish smoke
flit into the night,
To shine a thousand reveries
mocking me,I pluck stars.

DeBOUCHed PAINTED SKIN--
I saw you in the mirror naked
Paired in thoughts of righteousness clothed debouch and railed
Skin on fire blazed my eyes sited dark
A mist the stellar darken lightness glows black
Images of real were flash false painted
Eye lid blind rapid realities lost
For the view of you was not clothing in skinem

She passed this way,
her fashion by the will of fate
that shaped her clay
and forged her build compassionate.
In midnight's dreaming spires
she railed against the witching hour,
the waning of the fire,
and faded like the Autumn flower.
She passed this way,
her sweeping skirts and gentle style,
that ruled the day
with sadness hidden deep in smile.
And thus we count our gain
from knowing of her fight to stay,
enhanced we will remain
because she passed this way...
