The Rose
PRICKLED STRONG
WITH A LOVER's FACE
DRAWN ON THE LEAVES-
AN AROMA STRONG
TO AROUSE A LOVER'S APPETITE
TOWARDS LOVE'S PIT....

Ms Jack and Tack
There was once a lady called Ms Jack
Who lived near a grass region called Tack.
When prickled by the grasses
On her way with her glasses.
She let down her glasses and her Jack.

The Purest Joy
I inhaled,
and the breeze flourished upon my skin,

I exhaled,
and the grass prickled at my fingertips,

I loved,
and the world exploded with its wonders,

I cried,
and I got sucked into the ink adding wonder to your pages,
Dark,
Aglow with beauty....

Shoop
Looking at the sheep
but there was only one
saw a murder
but then they flew away
each lion makes me proud
prickled all the porcupines
in the caravan they all had humps
basking with a crocodile smile
and with zeal the zebras chuckle
at the parrots pandemonium...

All Through the Love
here I see you
find you,
dream you
as a light of love

moonlight
from the crescent
from the full
illuminates me
outside to inside

floating I’m
on the leaves of grass
on no thorny spike
its guide
my prickled mind
to love all
dim to fair light

Delicate Rose
Pick out a rose
One that is better than the others
And head through the storm
Squeeze the rose that you grasp
In a choking protection
Only prickled by its thorns
Red-handed guilt
Bloodied pain
Delicate rose shriveled
As it falls from your hand
Slips through your fingers
And head through the storm
Empty handed
Distrusted
Defeated...

Ignoring the Sandman
Time is ticking by faster

And the clock hangs off the edge

But my mind doesn't move as quickly

It's blocked by a deadened hedge

You say that time is precious

And I believe it all too well

I wish I could make things more certain

But some things God will never tell

Eyes as bloodshot as roses

And ears that are prickled with thorns

I await the coming sunrise

Amidst my body's scorns...

Her Eyes Sparkled
Her eyes were wide
With joy and love
Nothing filled the heart
Like a little love

Her eyes sparkled
With every breath
Her telling tale
Of the Baby within

Her eyes dimmed
When things turned in
From spots and dots
She didn't think a thing

Her eyes were prickled
As she sprinkled a life
So small on the floor
near the toilet so small

Her eyes flooded holding
Him so near
Her heart ached as she
Saw his last breath disappear....

Silent Honour
It's Poppies, poppies o'er the land,
stuck fast to collars; prickled hands.
Blood red, emblazoned, filled with pride,
A poppies heart shall never hide!

Poppies, poppies; our best, our brave,
The fallen ones we could not save.
Instead, they marched ahead to cheers,
We love them always, shedding tears.

Poppies, poppies, share our feelings,
Standing tall, we pray for healing.
Fathers, Mothers, sons and daughters,
We stand for all; silent honour....

It's Still Life...
Rough koi in oils
crimson speckled
liquid light-

swimming past
my northern wall
tucks me into bed at night

Velvet seas
plumped goose feathers
prickled ends-

Every pillow
trimmed in satin
hoping we could make amends...

Hammered copper bowls
green in skin
sleeping sound-

In the dark
I hear you weeping
Now I know you're still around

Calloused fingers
braille to read me
eyeless sight-

Atmosphere
we caused, created
tucks me into bed at night......
