Jack the Rip-Off
JACK THE RIP-OFF cold homicides from clean quills vices of knives sharp sharks stalk down Piranha’s with platitudes of predictability but in your brain red is the pain without gain expressing reality in waves no need to explain © Kim van Breda—22 October 2015

Some Consolation
I have no guarantee
that I will not be run over
by a motor vehicle,
be this a bus, lorry or Rolls Royce
BUT
if I religiously observe the highway code,
cross roads with extreme caution
and avoid traffic at night,
I may rest reasonably well assured
that if I do get run over,
it won't be my fault....

Shades
the order of the iambic pentameter,
the chaos of the totally unmetrical,
the logical conception of a piece by Bach,
the frenzied wailing of the later John Coltrane,
the predictability of the sonnet form,
the convoluted voices of free verse,
the yin the yang, the shade the sheen,
and all the vibrant shades that lie between!...

Breaking the pattern of habit governed predictability futile since the deliberate doing lacking spontaneity. Yet the twist wherein we cease to resist becoming the causation for exiting stuporous stagnation. Freedom found in pulsating bliss elation. Within.

The Unaltered Depiction
Startled by the hallucination
of himself upon the wall
The man of a compromised conscience
cringes with apprehensive velocity

Debilitating panic emerges
with a disconcerting air of predictability
Transporting him, intangibly, to a setting that prohibits
his own narration
Forcing him to endure his biography
without any preferred revisions...

Familiarity
When people know you,
They know what to expect,
making allowances for actions
that are inept,
Looking out for their familiar
persona along the way,
The stability and predictability
makes their day,
Fluxes and changes will never rock
their world,
because the people they know have remained
the same,
Regardless of wind, storm or hurricanes..........

Awakened by the Whip-Poor-Will
Then the cooing of the gray Dove
Spring's sun shining _call of Bluegill
The Oak doesn't call though my precious Love

His love's infallibility
Lift's me in times of trouble and strife
Through all predictability
Of His love like tunes of fife

His great reliability
Lifts me in all of life's great storms
For it's sustainability
Keeps my awesome spiritual being warm...

Premium Member My Lucille Ball Purse
My twin sister Carolyn is wildly creative.
She has made me a Lucille Ball purse.
It is fabulous; I love it!

There is a cartoon montage of Lucy all over it.
Many recognizable faces on various episodes of I Love Lucy.
I carried it around to several stores today.

Strangers begged to know where I got it.
I could have set up shop and sold these.
It’s a computer bag, not a purse my sister told me when I called her.
I smiled at the predictability of my twin....

No Solution
Silence and violence,
but never any solace.
Blaming and shaming.
Never any taming.
This side or that side?
Never any combined...
forces for the good,
no one is understood.
A senseless cycle,
an endless spiral.
Sad thing of tragedy,
is it's predictability.
From the first crisis,
to the endless...
reinforced programs,
coddling the madman.
We care, then we don't.
We pray, then we hope.
Woke and then helpless.
Tired and then restless.
Brave, and then not.
Action! Then, we stop....
