Simple when the mind's at ease
And heartbeats steady,
But in love, fears bring along
Dark thoughts to challenge your poise
Entering relaxed and delicate
The surgeon adjusts the tiny strands
Taking care to strike completely the offending fiber
Like a medical ninja
Water sinks in me,
Helps flush the pain, so yet deep—
Made a heart for storms,
Its mild poise or stagnant play—
Dries in growth— willful, it stays.
