Kind mates share empathy
Keep faith and loyalty
Kindred spirits entwined
Knotted strings all plaited
Kaleidoscope of cheers

burst the shallow

overflowing

forth long
weeds plaited

A stitching of parables,
a weaving of psalms
Whether ancient or modern,
the truth plaited long
The story we tell,
with one pattern beset
A patchwork of tailors

Listen to poem:
Why does your cat only have nine lives?
The cat o'nine whip has three strands
Plaited cords unraveled thrice
Nine to three, three to three.
Cat plays bold for three
Strays for next three,
Stays in for
last three
hides
a tall blonde, white plaited with salt
all elbows and knees,a new menhir
on a guilded stage of
tidewash and wind,crouched under
a sky of ovens and red brick,
serious and wide-eyed
before a sandring that loses
its smile as the sun drowns;
the sea turns to black.
One day in May, the shadowed oak -
the lovey-doveyness, it spoke.
Its foliage in zephyr rush.
of coquette prettiness; it’s blush.
Under God’s eye, unseen choir brings
a lofty cheeriness with wings,
a maypole merriment of tweets,
its honey biz of plaited beats.
Crackling mischief waxes every new moon; Moon, the plaited devil
three harvests blue, summits the everest shelf to scrape out crunchy
goodness, and scurries away, with exasperated steps in tow.

Darkness falls upon the watercolored crescent sky like a scratch of charcoal,
Whose sedimentary debris dribbles across parchment poked with starry holes.
Etch-a-sketch screens polka-dotted with extraterrestrial twilight unravel,
Like scrolls whose delicately plaited papyrus rolls around Gaia's gavel.
For the night is but a paper coiled inside of an encrypted cylindrical cryptex,
Beside the light in a vial of vinegar which vanishes away the charcoal's text.
The Rose of the World went weeping
and many the tears the Rose shed;
they flowed like a river softly
on a world that was dry and dead.
The Rose of the World was heartsick;
the heart of the Rose broke and bled,
the mad world plaited a thorn crown
to cruelly pierce His fair head.
They crushed the Rose in its beauty,
and they nailed the Rose to a tree;
the Rose with His tears and His lifeblood
emptied out His fragrance on me.

Red-and-gold garlands on his neck.
