He/She are similar yet different in guises, genders, adapting to be reborn. Restoration from one's past traumas, hurts, deceit, disappointments, mental and physical abuse
is like tearing aways the peels from a onion or
a cut by a razor to masks that pain hoping it would fade away.
Seeking solace to recuperate to a better quality of restorative livelihood....

Walk Alone
It's time to ease my soul
so many years along this lonely road
speaking nothing but truth
telling tales of emotional and physical abuse
 So long I have roamed
knowing what it is like to be in a foster home
while shedding tears
looking back upon wasted years
 Drowning sorrow
not thinking about tomorrow
dreams have washed away
but not the day
 Still I roam
this lonely soul
upon this road
I walk alone...

Safety
Safety is a rare commodity.
You can tell someone your traumas & triggers and they will still use them against you for personal gain to try to control.
Which can lead to physical abuse, if you call them out on their role.
If you aren't careful friends even family will use their mask to justify their treatment & why they take everything right down to your last set of clothes.
Always stay woke & remember some even close to us, wear that manipulative cloak....

A Choice
21.
Naive.
Lied to.
Deceived.
Physical abuse.
Blue line.
Smile. Forced.
Everything will be fine.
Abdomen swell.
Breasts sore.
She's scared.
He cheats.
Abuse becomes more.

Appointment.
White coats.
Bloods.
Signature.
Heart heavy.
Heat beat.
Grainy images.
Tiny hands and feet.
Alone.
Little girl.
No one to help.
She makes a choice.
She can't hear God's voice.
Procedure.
Wake with amnesia.
Horror of the choice drowns her.
Forever guilty.
Forever broken.
A child gone unknown.

A choice?...

Cigarette
I smoke another unwanted
cigarette
I quit, remember, I'm taking
Chantix
I just want to forget
the pain
the hate
the mental abuse
the physical abuse
the betrayal
they all betrayed me
It is all still so real
surreal
I dream dreams that make
me hate
I don't wish to feel
complicated
I want to feel
sedated
I can't, I have to be real
I have no choice but to
feel
this pain in my heart
another day to get
through
so much to do
to forget
I smoke another unwanted
cigarette...
