When you adopt a pet from a shelter, two lives get saved by you.
The one you adopt and its replacement that gets rescued.
Dear
single guys,
open a pet shop
that just sells kittens,
and let the single
ladies come
to you
He's downstairs in his cage
chirping like a real trouper
canary ramblings,
upstaged
by no other pet,
he's mine.
not a hog adog
mans best friend
to the end
women love cats
not a rat
with them life not set

Alpha and Omega were
the last words my
pet turtle spoke before
he died. I never got around to
naming him.

Little boy and girl
Pet with or without fur
and machine that can communicate to the world
I'm sorry...

Precious dog, hamster or cat;
Even Michael Jackson’s “Ben,” a rat!
Tarantula too? Imagine that.
Pet pretty perfect to play game.
Even easily each eager owner can tame.
Trained to be trustworthy as claimed.
my sentinel cat
lies in watch at the window...
a vagrant, strange pet
approaches from the outside...
encounter at the border
empty shelves again
pet food has been hard to find
pet’s don’t understand

I’m not allowed to pet the cat
When I do he has a spat
Leaving a mess
Without distress
He puts it all on the mat

There are parakeets
and canaries flying here.
Gone from the pet shop,
they have escaped their prison
and are free to fly the sky.
they give me the tools
while am in school
am on time
they kept this in mine
i never stand in line
you can bet am set
AM MY TEACHER PET
I recall your wife was brunette
And every male teacher's pet
I never knew why
She acted so shy
When she always left their lap wet?
The heat wave is scorching hot
It steams like a heating pot
My hair was real wet
I looked like a pet
Whose hair was one giant knot
A quite little pup,
Can fit in a cup,
Not the pup, its snout,
I’m going on about,
The snout of the quite little pup.

I knew this French dame Yvette,
Who liked, very much, to pet:
She’d go rather far
Before she would bar
A guy from breaking a sweat.
its a dream its clean
its my pet

ME AND MY CAT
New York pollywogs are all wet
Each of them need to see a vet
Now Ida has gone
They're stuck on the lawn
And no one wants a slimy pet
I planted flower seeds
on my rabbit's grave
and they never came up.
But today, by the cross,
was a buttercup
and that is all I need.
Home lawn is well-set!
Wow! Furniture fret...!
Green carpet velvet!
None around seen, yet!
Not even a pet,
Are all under threat...???
My canary keeps a pet cat;
that used to be sat on a mat,
but now it is caged
and slightly enraged;
to the bird, it’s just tit for tat!
I went to the Vet, for what it's worth,
Give Fido these pills? How on earth?
Fido did the big dummy spit,
Then he snapped me! Over it!
