Public Honey Not So Sweet
Strong passions and good expressions with no backside
slowing the limelight, brings in assisted suicide
the huge footprints they track
away from a fall they pack
pool of dears, cautioned by personal pesticide....

Love
Love in reality
Is a rough steep hill
It is an waterfall ending in sharp rocks
Love in reality
Is sharp crystal rock
Glass grass
Mist of pesticide
And then when you
Find true love
It can be rough at times
But it only like a bumpy smooth trail
That we all find fun
And loving
And warm...

Little Miss Muffet - Modern Version
Little Miss Muffet
(Modern Version)
Little Miss Muffit sat on her tushy
Eating her curds and whey.
A great big spider sat down beside her
And was killed by a pesticide spray.

The 2016 Election
Heading for the next election,
Votes vied for by vicarious politicians,
Who are we all voting for?
Is it for their superannuation? Or,
Streamlining services to sway us,
Does Oz really need such fuss?
We're walking on the winning side,
Let's have some more Hi-fives!

It's a short, amusing ride,
Someone pass vicarious pesticide!!!...

A Bluebird Passing
If the world were to kill me
please mourn
I was conjured with all good intention
by a loving earth
but the world is full of murderous things
in the sun and the sea
and my sanitized plate may be poisoned
by a surviving microbe
or residual pesticide
the world might jerk
and grind me in its jaw
or some ‘fluenza, from far away
may drop in my lap
and give me sepsis
while I pause to appreciate the beauty
of a bluebird passing
against the sky....

My Backyard
Sit in my backyard
Listen to crickets chirp
Pretend freeway noise
Are really
Ocean waves
Breathe in
A sweet fragrance
Of spring flowers
Mixed with
Neighbor's cigarette smoke
Watch cows
Grazing peaceful
See war planes
Racing overhead
Taste sweet blackberries
Hoping not to be poisoned
By pesticide
Smile as young children
Run and laugh
Pretend their parents
aren't really
screaming at eachother
All this
Can be found
in my own backyard....
