There Go I
we
hear
the
damp sound of flight
when
the
red peregrine hawk
reach for
higher ground
there i go
into
a brave wind
into
a spend
into
the
green fog of night...

Death, Under the Radar
Drones,
Silent with
The gaze of a Peregrine
Falcon, that
Descends
Surely, swiftly,
Bringing death.
No trial by law,
Just obliteration.
And like the Peregrine,
It knows no borders....

The peregrine falcon inspires fear In 'most every bird, far and near, Such air pressure as he swoops so fast! Three eyelids protect him from the blast.

I traipse the globe as a travel blog pro,
My peregrine pace never gets too slow -
So crazy chaotic,
Extremely exotic -
Runs me into places and out of dough.

Peregrine Falcon
Watching you atop your tower
for once
wishing not to be you
but to be the dove
on which you prey
to so honourably
have you take my pain away
I turned
to set this thought to paper
when I looked back
you were gone
and I sank
so sad
to still be there....

Over Tree and Crag of Rock
Ways so serpentine
Garden path now dim at dusk
Oh Peregrine, casting thine eyes down
Clutch up my deepest sorrows
Lifting high my soul, place crown

Once in flight
Search out my ghost
Over tree and crag of rock
High above cliffs of sea
One sheep of scattered flock....

That Unshakable Spirit and Perfect Domain
Out of this fog comes the
Black and yellow eyes,
Raining from this fiery spirit of
The peregrine falcon
Riding on her powerful wings
Catching our breath with bursts of speed
Her teardrop shape, free falling through this air
Hunting prey with lightning strike claws
That unbreakable spirit and perfect domain
Deep inside of this fog lives the peregrine...

In Canyons of Glass and Steel
In canyons of glass and steel,
the peregrine is hunting.
Her wildlands have vanished
and her forests are gone.
But what is it to her
if her prey runs toward trees
or cliffs… or if it flees
through canyons
of glass and steel.
Is it any easier
to feed her child
on the asphalt plains?
Is her hunting cry
any less fearsome
if it is heard
in a city’s skies?
Does the sparrow
struggle any less
if in a city
it dies?...

A majesty of nature sits there in the dead tree

A majesty of flight turns to look at me

A majestic raptor braced and tuned for this cold

Majestic eyes scan the valley deep for prey yet untold

A majestic transformation to flight

Effortless drop, invertedly!

Precision, speed, raw might

Soaring low into the deep valley

This king of the skies now stoops vertically

This predator is in a class of its own

This falcon of majesty....

Moor Stand
Back and forth on the blustery jut I rock my brain in its buoyant swell. The tang of crowberries and storm clouds sieved through wind and limestone, sheep’s piss and heather. Beneath the high rock, rock ravens spiral, peregrine swoop within a flying sky turned upside down. This is my land, this moment I declare myself the very image of this twirling world, magnified, upright, somewhere between a wind-blown gnat and God.

Eyes fixed, locked on for sure

Target selected by this majestic predator

Lock tight, body role, velocity control

Change shape, speed make

Drive through raw might

Awesome nature of flight

Vertical stoop from on high

Rip through the sky in the blink of an eye

Killer takes the prize

When the skies ultimate predator strikes

There is nowhere to hide

Legendary Falcon, the fastest hunter alive

Peregrine...

This Raptor surely is

The king of the sky....
