Tragic Poet

Death hath no pain, love no joy when being thrown in the fire means nothing to the tragic
poet(direct quote)-Mellissa Cushman

What Have I Done

What have I done to you
my love with the pain i've
given you.
How did I lose our love with
what I've done?
Oh! My love what should I
do with the pain I've given you.

Pain

Memories can be retrieved
But the lost soul never returns ....
Aching end of the journey
By the loved ones
Gives the pain of hell...
Even if the person
Ends up the journey of life
And moves to heaven.

I Have Never

There is a love in me that’s unknown,
like a seed
I’ve never sown

A life with miseries alone,
for a pain
I’d never groan(ed)

A heart that needs to atone,
for things
I’ve never known

A feeling of hopelessness,
for a life
I’d never own(ed)

Drowning

how can such a word bring such feelings of guilt, pain, love and claustraphobia all at the
same time?

drowning in pain
in water
in love
in lies
in silence
in noice
in light
in darkness
in space
in sheets
in words
in thoughts
in nothingness

Wicked Game

The never ending feeling of pain
As the giant ball rises up into my throat
Spiralling into an epitome of low
How can love be so cruel?
I watch as you take my soul, my mind, my everything, my nothing
Will I ever survive this cruel game we play?

I Felt the Wind of Change

i felt the wind of change arrive
as the ache in my heart
crept through my chest
and leaked out
the corners of my eyes

the wind was loud.
gusty and salty
a cleansing breath
it brushed democracy's
stifled cheek
awakening She
once again

nature herself breathed
a sigh of calm,
we felt the warm
glow of love
once again

My Feelings

My feelings are all i have left,
when i told you loved you,
i loved you to death.
I truly meant that i know you knew,
all i ever said was i love you.
When i think about it you were never there,
I'm starting to wonder if you ever even cared.
I will always love you and i will hate you too,
when i said it i meant it, i will always love you.

Silent Verses

It hurts to see you,
Knowing you'll never be mine.
Yet, my eyes yearn,
To see you every single time.

I love you, love you not,
I know not how I fell for you.
Some grey delusions in my head,
Will never turn blue.

Soon my eyes won't find you,
And I'll bid you with a silent goodbye.
These fantasies that felt so true,
Were only a hurtful lie.

Confused Love

Sometimes love is pain and pain is love.
Missing that special love only confuses that pain.
You truly don't miss a thing until it's gone.
And the feeling of that missing element only stabilizes the pain.
At times this love can be misinterpreted with lust.
A heart never lies but a mind can be manipulated.
Which is more trustworthy and which is less deserving?

Don'T You Know

So you say it's just a game don't you know I see your pain can't you see I feel the same broken hearts that can't be tamed, don't you know I love you, don't you know I care, don't you know I miss you when you're not there,I never knew love until there was you, I never knew pain until we were through I never knew just how long life was til I had to learn to live without your love.

I Don'T Know

Tears in my eyes
why are these tears here?
pain, love, sadness, happiness
i don't know
but they are here

My heart aches
Why?
For the love of some one lost,
for the sadness of death and pain,
for the happiness of life?
i do not know

My wrist bleeds
i know why
the confusion of life
is too much to bare

My vision fades
My life is gone
My confusion is gone
I'm gone

Premium Member A Beautiful Morning:At:

A blankness in a stare
That caught coldness to bare
A memorizing thought
That drifted my mind away
An eye to untold love
That slowly will appear
A soft soul who is rightfully so
That moment, comes
A first kiss
That holds true
A heart that sheds the scars
The tears are far, but painful memories
A call early in the morning
That made it that much more
A beautiful morning

What Does Poetry Mean To You

My life in my poetry to reveal,
depression and the odd happy moment,
beautiful love, and pains that need to heal,
past stills, dark days and anger, I need to vent.

My life, the direction, sadness, pain, love, happiness,
for the future to learn from past mistakes,
penned to consume, not judge but read in fairness,
my end to leave a legacy at all stakes.

Love Hurts

It's not the void of your absence,
rather you are too full into my heart.
I'm trying to defy your silent presence,
but it's really hard to stay apart.
My pen is paining,
so as my heart.
I'm learning each day from you to be unknown,
but my heart is denying being completely apart.
Oh, you heartless, go far or be mine forever.
Your ferrying is hurting me more.
Will I be free from this ache, ever?

Midnight Prayer

Get me back my sleep, oh God.
I am decaying day by day,
mentally, physically… in innumerable ways.
Neither can I cry, nor can I write.
I don't know what fight
is going on in my mind every day.
Oh God, bring back my normal days!
Am I an insomniac,
or do I simply like the calm of the night this way?
It's 2:29, and I am not fine,
dwindling somewhere in between.
Oh God, get me back my sleep anyway.

Love Triumphs

Baby the beauty that you came
To own puts those glistening stars to shame
The way that smile lights my spark
And the way those eyes twinkle in the dark
I love hearing the sound of your laughter
When I see you my heart beats faster
When I'm with you I wish time would freeze
And lost in that moment we'd always be
The pain when I'm not with you is cruel
But I'd bear all the pain in the world, Because I love you

Decry, Cry, Cry, Cry

She cried,
She's sorry,
I cried,
You left.

The nerve.

You can come back,
You can stay,
We can stay together.

She said she'll never do it again,
She cried and held me,
You were gone.

When you come back I'll be happy,
I hope you're happy,
It wasn't my fault.

Her words were painful,
Like only a cut could heal.

I cried.
You left.

Come back and kick it,
Stay awhile,
Stay forever.

You'l be here.

Premium Member I Am Breaking

I’m breaking
Like the branch in the wind
Falling
Falling
Falling down to the ground

I don’t want to fall alone
In this world, my heart belongs to you
So please, don’t let me fall to the ground

Please, don’t let me fall
Hold me close
Feel the warmth between our hearts
Hold me close
Feel our lips softly touch
Hold the winds back don’t let them rip us apart

In our hearts
there is us
With our Love
Soul to Soul

it holds as much love and grief
as its host fills it with
its capacity never replete,

the heart
still there is room for more
joy, pain, love, grief, ache
bleeding out with sorrow
surfeit with joyous wonder

and still there is room for
more
and more
