Trip On a Tanker

Trip On A Tanker

We had taken a trip on a tanker;
Arrived at a dock and did anchor;
We would land;
Saw much sand;
The first one off was a big banker.

Each day the airwaves brings an expert
Leaves one in awe a trifle inert
There they are on the telly
Advice on setting a jelly
Enough to put one off their dessert.

Grapes

a cluster of grapes will get my attention
i'll want to know just who you are

take care to make them fresh
and cold
and my eyes will flutter

pull one off the vine
put it in my mouth
and there will be
no doubt

you could be my man

just bring me grapes

Premium Member Not Just Today--Ink

"What kind act can I do" I hear you say
Well maybe a greeting or just a smile
Go on, be kind and go that extra mile
And not just a one off, but every day.

Premium Member Things That Bug Me

Normally I can relax in the woods,
Today flies and mosquitoes are annoying me.

I slap them off my leg,
And blow them off my shoulder.
I flick a green winged one off my chair,

Can feel something crawling slowly
Toward my knee

I forgot to wear Vicks
Which bugs detest.

A tick?
I cannot wait to see.

Nawty There

Nawty There
How can I address you properly?
You can't take off my dress
You nawty child
You've gotten her pregnant!
Get out of this house now
He was pulling one off
And pulled a muscle
It was a power shaft
She always upsets him
Only coz she loves him
The concept of time
Meant nothing when fecking
They worked as pilots
For the Arkansass National Guard

Premium Member BREEZY POINT

The wind felt
Catching one off guard
Sometimes refresh
Other times bad and good
The wave backward and forward of trees
The view of the ocean as the waves maneuver
Breezes front and center
Embrace
North to South
East to West
Breezes with their own confess
Outward blow
Some fast and suddenly slow
One never knows
Handy work Heaven
Breezy Point
Breathing in and out
The breeze moving about.

           Ha, ha! Even ‘Wooly Bully’
             is relatively young ~

'Wooly Bully,' some kind of dance.

Generosity

It was one-off.
I will not punish myself
again for brazen, stone writing,
girding the aneurism, after
a long siege.

An entire night was lost
in repairing the blue vase.

You want to cut off the coalfield.

The gloom plunges deep. A
swallow tweets for a passerby.

In the heart of darkness, there was
the fire, a purple flame, ready
to suckle the unborn sun.
the grass breaks the rock.
I pray for the burns.

A Wrong Picture of Failure

To fail is to hit the bottom scale,
Demonstrably show you could derail,
To shamelessly lose your trail
And go ahead to simply wail
And at cheating sky rail
Like one refused a bail:
To tears receive, even tears hail,
Keeping a face awfully pale,
No correspondence no mail;
Your image for helpless sale…

For the failed Male, no female
From the female bared a male…
For one’s crucifixion, concrete nail,
The wind to blow one off, A Gale!

Premium Member Cocklebur Song

Cockleburs on his chin, cockleburs between his toes
He has been where the dreaded cockleburs grow.
Cockleburs on his head, neck, butt, and his dog tail.
Cockleburs are prickly, stickery, and sometimes hard as a nail.

Why do you go where the cockleburs live?
I try hard to get one off, but it does not want to give.
I end up with thorns in my fingers, and they hurt and one bleeds.
So where is my dog now? Rolling around back in cocklebur weeds.

Reliquary

Retreating into my mind, I find,
Encased like glass, a history of my past, of
Lovers long ago, of bent and broken arrows.
Instant memories envelop me, like a familiar
Quilt, wrapping me into a mummy of guilt,
Unhappiness, pain. . . all feeling remains,
Are stored here, the bones of tears, to
Regret, resurrect, reflect, or entomb. I linger, having
Yet to exhume, the elusive, gold doubloons.

Premium Member waiting at the train station for my man

Three women with umbrellas were waiting for this train.
To get on or for someone to get off? I am yet to know.
I lost track of them after the people disembarked.
Looking for my husband, who would not have an umbrella.

My umbrella was at home, I was not expecting this dreary night.
My man would not be the first one off, closer to the last.
I knew from experience, he avoided the crowds.
My smile was wide when I saw his excited look of recognition.

Feeling Something Real

Warm inclinations,
One off conversations,
Unquestioned accusations,
Endless limitations.

Frustrating drama,
Devastating karma,
Countless lies,
Tearful goodbyes.

Hidden treasures,
Forgotten pleasures,
Forbidden temptation,
Lost in translation,
Blind realisation.

Unchartered oceans,
Half cocked notions,
Chance meeting,
Designated seating,
Bank balance depleting.

Emotional prostitution,
Computer revolution,
Positive solutions,
New year resolutions.
