Notes About The Poem

Tip:  If you slather a tick buried deep in your skin with Vicks or vaseline, it has to back its head out to breathe, so you can easily nab it in a hanky and flush it.

Things That Bug Me

Normally I can relax in the woods,
Today flies and mosquitoes are annoying me.

I slap them off my leg,
And blow them off my shoulder.
I flick a green winged one off my chair,

Can feel something crawling slowly
Toward my knee

I forgot to wear Vicks
Which bugs detest.

A tick?
I cannot wait to see.
