Memories,
Brush your soft plush against my cheek,
Caress me in daydreams and kiss me at night.
Sweetly smell of lilies,
So pleasure of your company does not leak
And so you heed my emanation on sight.
So she flees,
That once subtle lullaby she must seek,
Charm us with your laughter in flight.
She is so beautiful
Everynight I see her in the sky
Her light makes me bright
Happiness of my heart gets to brim
Old friend of mine since I am four
Her white color looks like a snowflake
She is a coolly
That makes me a sweet cookie
Her humble smile inspired me
Flowed my creative pen
Made me strong
Took away my stress !
Your bright eyes of old
A story to be told
Containing memories of youth
With some embellished truth
You have been strong
For so very long
A life of perfection
With unchanged direction
Your words guide me well
In all that you tell
But no answers for sale
Allowing me to fail
So I may learn
From you in turn
To remember what I do
And pass it onto someone new
Form:
Sailing through
The odyssey of my mind
I capture moments in time
Like a photograph etched in my soul
Absorbed by my heart
The experience of life
The joys and sorrows of living
The essence of my being
The me I am now colored by
The road I have traveled on
The love I have felt
The people I have known
These are the treasures I hold
Deep inside of me each moment
Refining my soul through time
sitting on the highway
with nothing more to do
except to pull down the sun visor
so that i could look at you
it's almost like your here
you look at me and smile
your poses for pictures
for images frozen it time
if i use my imagination
we could have a conversation
and talk about the things
on our minds
yes, you make me happy
as happy as i can be
just by looking at your picture
and your smile
The sunlit memories of childhood were happy, they were fun
What happened to those days of past? What happened to the sun?
For now the sky is gray and black and often filled with rain
Oh where, oh where, is that sun to relieve me of this pain?
The many days then of my youth had sunshine and had glee
But now they’re gone and far behind, I guess they’re history.
If only, then, the sun would show and smile upon me now
I know that I’d get through the days with happiness somehow.
