Premium Member Moping

For once laying here on my bed while my door is open.
Allowing the kitchen's fluorescent lights to emulate
Atmosphere of a more peaceful hospital I used to know.

Premium Member Valentine's Day

Valentine's day is approaching
I lie here constantly moping
As for celebrating, I haven't a clue
I can't bear another day without you

Pink

Pink
                  Preppy Happy
       Glittering, Popping, Blooming
        Roses, Blush, Dirt, Brownies
  Cooking, Moping, Sickening, Dreading
                   Burnt, Bleh

A Sloth

Saddness is a sloth
Moping around all day
Moving slowly through the trees
Sticking to whatever they see

Sadness is soundless
It does not speak
Scared and shy
No feeling at all
No colors reflect
Plain and boring
sad

Eminem Rising

Fire of timing
Lyrics shining
Unveiling the mining
Emotions rhyming
Rap to the beat
Feel his heat
Given a seat
His door is opening
He's only hoping
Don't be moping
His color isn't taupe
Don't give him a rope
That's not his soap
Reborn a phoenix
Into his mix
Get your fix
He won't nix

Love Lost

My heart was broken.
Now i sit around moping.
I lost the girl of my dreams.
It just made me wanna scream.
So I stayed in the dark.
Letting no one into my heart.
I made it so I no longer feel.
For me emotions are no longer real.
Just wanting to have just one wish.
Which is to give you a never ending kiss.

Writing

— Untitled —

Defining, refining, and timing the rhyming
And hours of thought to perfect the fine line-ing

Clerical, lyrical, sometimes, a miracle
To get a line right could feel a bit spiritual

Hoping, not doping, and a lot oh “oh nope-ing!”
But when you are through, there will be no more moping

Premium Member No Idea Why

I have no idea why I am not a man
I have always wanted to be one
The boys could yell out answers in class
I got slammed to the floor for yelling them out

I despise things women are supposed to like.
Cleaning, cooking, dusting, moping, vacuuming
I will not do them; they are redundant and boring
I have no idea why I am not a man

Premium Member Morning Sun

Listen to poem:
In the early hour
a tired soul reenergized
that’s been moping in the dark
eagerly follows where
the rising sun may lead

I walk and walk
until I can walk no more
fill my lungs of lilac blooms
soak in the effervescence
and quench my thirst of morning sun

The boy in me entangled
So many footsteps we cannot retrace
So many words
To make us what we were not before
So many places
And always behind us the gaping door
So many people
To stumble over in memory
Shrunken by the tragedy
Of their lost
And the boy moping
Exploits the man's emotions
But he cannot find again
This precious thing
In flight from him I lost

Premium Member Caught in Its Act

A grumpy day once came my way
      sat down beside me, moping
    Conjuring my best smile
I asked it, ‘Where is hoping’

    It fired its poison arrows
      condemning all that’s good
    I took my leave, graciously
      I knew I really should...

The day sat still a second
      then stumbled to its feet
    Shouting, ‘Yes, yes, I confess
      Life on earth's too sweet'

Walking Back...

.c.A Shack Concrete

	Walking back
 To
 The
 shack concrete
(...a reference to bad poetry)
 notice
 a non-hurricane-ravaged
 [moping]palm
-actually
 an intrusive
 propagated stuck
 in black
-brick-holed
 date palm.
tepid steam
 type
 dive tank
 bottom waiting
 to see
 if
 it works
shadows
-frigate-bird
 over head
 visit
 through reef
 softened wave
-come up
 party of
 bubbles
-I'm in
 my own
 drink .

Your Heart's Door

Why don’t you tell,
How God sent His love,
How a happier trail,
Was sent from above.

Give God the Glory,
For what you should do,
Tell people your story,
Of how He saved you.

That Mansion so bright,
Is made for a few,
For someone of light,
Is that someone you?

If Jesus has saved,
That lost soul of yours,
Then He has engraved,
A heart full of doors.

I hope you will open,
Your heart's door to God,
While others are moping,
In this world abroad.

Sweet Love Voodoo

I’ve been moping around waitin’ for you
An undead zombie with nothin’ to do
Waiting forever for your words to me
and all of my life for your love baby.

When all hope was gone, you somehow found me
And gave me your smile, made me a hippy
But now you tell me that you love me too
I guess I’m caught by your sweet love voodoo.

Yeah, yeah, Oh yeah,
Take me far out,
Take me away.
Whatever you do,
Yeah I’ll follow you.
Cause you is my true sweet-love voodoo.

The Confidence of My Heart Is Going Blind

the confidence of my heart is going blind
since you crept away from my existence
the advancing state of my loneliness leaves my sanity in a bind
i am feeling blue all over with no hint of resistance

the smell of your sweet scent drives the last calm elements in a rage
now that all feelings that i once felt has no sense of meaning
i might as well be a moping misanthrope locked up infinitely in a cage
i am now driven to childlike mannerisms with an odd obsession for weaning

Premium Member Hippy Dippyvan Brings Cousins

The clan began singing before I saw the hippy dippy van.
It ripped around the mountain, and we heard its ceiling fan.
hollering and the wailing came to our ears with the smacking too.
It was the wild McCorlick Cousins, straight from Kalamazoo!

They are evil and they’re naughty, and they make us all laugh.
We were not surprised at all to see a contraband giraffe.
Their father is crazy, and their mother is beyond coping.
They came tearing down the street. No one here is moping!

Baby Girl

baby girl, is it all worth the time spent moping around?
waiting for his number to pop in your phone,
you’d sooner drown
in the tears slipping down your face.

i don’t want to see you fall from grace
and don’t want you waiting around
just for him to replace
every moment you both shared.

if you left would he have cared?
im not sure about what you should do
but you gotta stay if this love is true
im not sure what you should do
but don’t wait around just cuz he wants you to.
