there once was a woman named Mimi
she never would wear a bikini
when she was asked why
she didn’t blink an eye
said, “I’ve eaten too much linguine!”

Of childhood, a little story,
Mimi, fluffy dog, toy glory,
She lost an eye, tail wagged off,
Rubbed fur, not so toff,
But so well loved, I say,
Wish I still had her today!
Mindless minds
Mimi screaming
With closed lips
Open eyes
Inhaled hands and arms
Reaching towards the sky

who will be on time today for lunch?
who will be late?
always the same scenario
Mimi is early
Lee will be late, and she is
their behaviors as predictable as the coldness of a gun barrel
regardless o time
always gonna b ur mom
grl bird'z mimi 2
repeat if it's good
otherwise just go on, ya'll
down diff'rent road
peace be un 2 u
every nite n every day
heart u all sooooo much
ain't gonna cry for
you or me or her just yet
just gonna wait for
her to drive up and
ring the bell with that darling
baby in her arms
reach out to MiMi
please tell me about your day
painted smile in place
Sitting with Winnie
Running from MiMi in polka dots
Makes me giggle at haughty tots
Who don’t want to use their potty pots.
I’m now thinking of tequila shots
And other things I oughta nots.

Thanks be to God

Swifties Unite!
Mimi, Taylor's most insta-swifty, totally meowed
As she grabs some me time, she'll vote she vowed
I really must flush and shoo
Me lady needs the loo
Swifty Cat ladies unite! We’re smart, brave and proud!
Love is like a mimi life.
Hearts race, staying in pace,
And all you want to do
Is stay in that place.
Hands touch
And sparks fly
Making it too hard to say goodbye.
The sparkle in your eyes
Is like no other,
But then again,
You are my lover

saw my bluebird girl
in her Guatemalan dress
sunshine in a flash
brighten my whole day
nothing like a mother hen
all her chix about
papa so relieved
that mimi no longer grieves
loss of family
flowers can now bloom
cause we know who hung the moon
2 lil grandbabies!
thank you for teaching
me how to be patiently
waiting over here
I am saved like the bible says
I am saved like the bible says
I am saved like the bible says
Nimeokold nimeokkoka kama vile bibha
Inavyosema mimi ni
I am saved like the bible says
I am saved like the bible says
Nimeokold nimeokkoka kama vile bibha
Inavyosema mimi ni
I am saved like the bible says

Tainted kisses,
silent misgivings,
frantic limbs and souls
struggling against a deep freeze,
always trying to reach
for some sort of safety
in the midst of
emotional squalor.
I remember you,
trying to cut the tie
with no clear cut ending,
that was a long time ago,
but for what it’s worth,
when I close my eyes,
I can still see,
your eyes,
searching mine,
for an answer
that could never be.
Mimi ninastahili-I AM WORTHY
Mimi ninastahili
kwanini unaniangalia
Mimi ndiye
Sijakufanya chochote
Mimi ndiye
Kwa hivyo kupendeza,
bado unaniogopa
Angalia ndani yako mwenyewe
Mimi ninastahili
why you look at me
I am He
Mimi ninastahili
I've done nothing to you
I am He
Mimi ninastahili
So endearing,
yet still you're fearing me
Look inside yourself
Mimi ninastahili
I Am worthy

Mimi Kanawa lives on
A sore thumb in the rain
Creditor she preferred
A debtor she stood like a trout to bait
Hunger swallowed her so
But death stung her not
Being a hard row to hoe.
Mimi Kanawa made a parting with the road
That was so well made
The price overtook her
Repeatedly on this road
Though nothing lasts forever
Her gaze will always reign
For from her timeless gaze
Nothing will erase
Until I tell this tale
Of a fate too true to be stale
