"Judge I just don't get it pleaded Pete,
Owner of Heavenly Escorts Elite,
  Given the economy's plight
And with no relief in sight,
We’re just trying to make ends meet"

From Doubt to Dollars

<
I grew up believing I was terrible at writing, at least that's what everyone said. It's ironic Those voices in my head still holler loud even though, in the end, it's how I make ends meet

Bank Robbery

Bank Robbery

Countdown to go-time
Finger my gun in the line.
They're counting on me
To get it right this time--damn.
Don't they know I'd rather not
Steal to make ends meet? I pull
Out my gun. "Give me the cash."

Live From Hand To Mouth

Live from hand to mouth

More meritorious than to live from hand to mouth
With no reserve to depend on,
And far better than
Keeping body and soul together
In hopeless destination
Make ends meet

Premium Member Money Can Be a Curse Too

Money can be a curse too
Whenever the man
Becomes greedy
Overworked
Stuggles for a living
Snatches for more
Begs to make ends meet
Bribes for tne utmost
Steals for easy going
But still can't possess it
Forever
(because he will die one day )

I Love My Life

I love my life and what it gives
I am still awake and life still lives
My partner is in bed fast asleep
Dreams she has are for her to keep

I work so hard to make ends meet
But now I feel my life is complete
I try to be good because I need to now
Nothing compares to my life its wow!

Where Did the Love Go

Love has been lost,
  Greed has been the cost..

People don't care enough,
LIfe is not suppose to be this rough.

To make ends meet,
we see children sell themselves on the street.

If you don't want to hear,
The truth is what you fear.

I have a voice,
I am going to use it.

Where did the love go????

A Pennsylvania mom, driving Uber to make ends meet
begs for her life from the armed man in the back seat

Please, sir, my four precious children are waiting for me ~
Soon she lay dead, her name adorning his latest trophy

Premium Member Try To Make Ends Meet

I work in a factory 10 hours a day 7 days a week the money I make is not enough to pay
debts. But somehow someway it gets me through I live day by day sometimes I don’t see
how. So I put faith in Jesus he always makes a way when we don’t see one. I love him and
thank him always for being there and never letting me down. Thanks Jesus for everything.

Heartbeat Heartbreak

Smiles have come and gone away
the broken thoughts of yesterday
darkened dreams and bloody knives
plays apart in all our lives
abandoned hope lost in sin
spiraling darkness thats building within
silent cries and helpless screams
the happiness dies down the drain goes my dreams
left alone to make ends meet
my heart will soon take its last beat.

Momma

Through the monthly pains,
Despite the hassles of childbirth,
Yet,you were stoic,
You brought me to life!
In bringing me up,you worked tirelessly.
You placed your dutiful hands to acts,
To make ends meet.
You inculcated in me,the virtue,truthfulness.
You implanted in me,the stand of a virtuous woman;
The worth of womanhood.
Momma, you're my earth,my sun and my rains.
Keep my Momma,oh Lord!

Let’s imitate we share it
The plan to make ends meet
Negotiating fairly
Things we don’t really need
But let’s get rid of “we”
For someone’s lofty goals
Aren’t relevant to me
And different from yours
Let’s set the sail to find
At least a metaphor
That hails a peace of mind
As it was long before
In period of time
When that Picasso’s dove
Saved lives of you and I
When peace was rhyme for love.

Nothing For Nothing

IN THIS WORLD NOTHING IS FREE WORKING HARD TO GET TO WHERE YOU NEED TO BE

BLOOD, SWEAT AND TEARS TOILING ALL THROUGH THE YEARS JUST TO FIND OUT THAT IT WAS FOR NOTHING.

IF YOU DON'T WORK YOU DON'T EAT IN THIS WORLD YOU HAVE TO MAKE ENDS MEET.

WORKING LONG HOURS WHILE ON YOUR FEET WELL I HAVE ONE THING TO SAY.

KEEP IT PUSHING AND KEEP HOPE ALIVE BECAUSE IN THIS WORLD THAT IS THE ONLY WAY YOU WILL SURVIVE

City Girl

she wears high heels
bruises on her feet
the only way
she can make ends meet.

left out and alone
no place to hide
from another dollar
with masculine pride.

shes not addicted
its the others who are
abandoned to leave her
to count moral scars.

used to be real
but turned into fake
haunted by thoughts
that make her to quake

the only thing left is city's pretty face
a love stricken lie
and self disgrace

I Fear No Evil

Lord
hear my prayer
hear my plea
how to make ends meet
how to put
food on our table
for the children to eat
how to put clothes
on our backs and
able to walk through
the streets
how to choose between
buying gas or how to
pay for these
medical bills
only the
strong survives but
if it is in
your power and
your will
i just wanna sing and
live my life
according to
the word of God
thus the lord is
my shepard and
i shall not want
i fear no evil

Premium Member Look the Other Way

There is a family down the street.
Minimum wage, trying to make ends meet.
Their choice is eat or heat.
It's not your concern.
Look the other way.

Single mother in the food bank queue
Worried about rent now overdue.
Baby child, clothes old that once were new.
It's not your concern.
Look the other way.

One day your boss says the company will fold.
You find you are left out in the cold.
No-one wants you, cus you are too old.
It's not my concern
I'll look the other way.

2135

2135,
Crest Hill Drive,
In the summer of ‘79,
We arrived,
stifling heat,
Sandburs in our feet,
At Joseph Keels,
I started 3rd grade,
After school,
In the street we played
Cicadas droned all night,
Bats chased insects at twilight,
Gamecocks weren’t very good,
But Atop college football,
George Rogers stood,
Flea market every Sunday,
To try and make ends meet,
The tragedy of suicide,
Of the man across the street,
Such are my memories of,
2135,
Crest Hill Drive
