how many have seen you?
Your iridescent swirling waves the colors of rocks
browns, pinks, blues, you have such depth
I feel complete, observing nature’s utmost beauty

Come In Wings

I have a desire to fly,
Without wings how?
I swing in search of wings,
Here you are!
Come wings,come in wings,
We will fly up to Taj Mahal,
To visit the graves of Mumthaj and Sajahan,
I as a bird,
You bring wings!

Pathless

Mob tries to set
ablaze a Taj Mahal
   I was flying a kite.

          *

    Tears swell in
the eyes of moon. Paper
lamp has come for a sail.

           *

    The long night-
I was ready to handover my
    family silver to moon.

Ingenio's Lair

What genius can thus inspire,
the mind will never know

It takes more than a thought conceived,
to go where visions go

Angkor Wat or Taj Mahal,
we only stand in awe

And wish to go from whence they came

Mahal Kita

Mahal kita.
That means I love you.
If I knew it in every language,
I would tell you all of them everyday.
Although it sounds so corney.
It is all so very true.
I hope that you believe me.
With a heart as pure as mine,
this love is not a sham.
I hope our love grows stronger.
Mahal na mahal kita.

I've seen the Grand Canyon, Cancun, Taj Mahal World Plaza (both phases), Broadway curtain call I watched when Hank Aaron sent that little ball 'cross opposite fence the Babe's record to fall. I've bathed in Bridal Falls Niagara'd 'til day called.... But I've never seen a lighthouse 'cept in pictures.

My First Love

In earnest, I have tarried,
longing to be wrapped,
in the embrace of your warmth,
that your gracious loins may whisper
to my thoughts the meaning of affection,

And when my time is done,
in the Taj Mahal of your being,
I will be embalmed for an eternity,
While my heart you will find,
for you preserved,
in fountains of wine.

Prince Jahan and Mumtaz

Eyes met as they walked the market place
Mumtaz and Prince Jahan hearts did race
betrothed for five years before his bride
fourteen children before she died

Prince Jahan it was true love at first sight
distraught at her demise, a shrine of ivory white
built in her honour "Crown of Palaces: now stands
the Taj Mahal is famous throughout the lands

The Story of Love

The story of love

Tash Mahal built by a prince
for a wife, he loved despite having many spouses.
A beautiful palace admired for its architecture
and reduced to mere splendour.
On a narrow road going uphill, I came across
a clumsily built cement block
made by a boy who loved Maria Emilia
 Thorny bushes overgrew his work.
Yet, it was here I sat down and cried for lost love.

Motivation Station

We all have to start somewhere.
Brick by brick, tooth and nail, you'll get there.
You might not be a Saul, you might be that apple
So go on and drink from your motivational fountains
You might not build the Taj Mahal or paint the Sistine Chapel,
but you'll move the molehills you've imagined are mountains.

Do You Lie?

lying
is not always
a lie
‘though the word remains a lie.

ah, believe
me,
my dear!

i love you! yo ti amo!
je t’aime! s’agapo!
ya tivya luvlyou! yah habibe!
ay-ayaten ka! mahal kita!

in whatever tongue
you hear me say, it’s all the same
and I would not take away
that smile, from you.

you are the half
that lights me in this life, the
diamond shines, forever—

without lies!

Last week I looked up
And witnessed with my very own
God given eyes
The impossible

Last week I looked up
And experienced heaven tearing apart

Last week I looked up
And saw God's own creations
Hurtling down from their throne
In an annual commemoration.

You have not been forgotten.
Even the stars themselves
Know what they have lost.

If one goes on compressing everything
In one’s own self,
How one is going to prosper?
This selfishness could be self-killing.

Make the others laugh,
Laugh and be happy.
Extend your happiness
Make everyone happy.

Shahjahan built the Taj Mahal,
One of the seven wonders,
To Make Mumtaz, his wife
And mankind happy to look at.

I Have Seen You

I have never seen ocean and I have never seen mountain
But I have seen you and want to see you again and again

I have never seen forest and I have never seen desert
But I have seen you and really want to win your tender heart

I have never seen pyramid or ShahJahan’s Taj Mahal
But I have seen you and want to adore you once and for all

I have never seen Great Wall or Babylon’s hanging garden
But I have seen you and want to carry your all the burden

The Taj Mahal

Of the wonders of the world that have been
The Taj Mahal is the best I've seen
With it's milky marble white
It radiates a glow on a full moon night

Shahjahan built The Taj for his lady love
Once she'd died and gone to the heavens above
In hope of reminding him (it might)
Of her face glowing on a full moon night

With it's chambers full of breeze
One can say he was head-over-heels
In love with his wife, Mumtaz
For whom he built the wondrous Taj
