Regret

As I walk this long road of
regret.
My heart shakes, I seek to surly
Forget.
Your evil words offend,they
Kill my soul.
Hateful, you bring real
bitterness and flecks of cold.

While I struggle with your
abuse,I I sometimes wonder
what is the use?
Your words gash and swim inside
My heart.
I must face my reality, we need
to part.

Premium Member Moments Memory

All at once it came...
The thought...your name...
with memories of yesteryear...
of loving things we shared so dear...

As hearty thoughts imbue awhile...
so borne of words bring a smile...
for moments memory to relive the past...
as mindful thoughts share words so cast....

By inspirations as words play......
a wistful lingo of poetry.

No Thanks To You

Wind me up

Watch me walk away

There is nothing more I have to say

I walk this world cold and alone now

No Thanks to you

The road we once walked on

Is Long gone and Broken

There are so many words

I left Unspoken

So many words I wanted to Scream

But I knew, It wouldn't fix anything

I walk this world cold and alone now

No thanks to you

Gossamer Wings

On gossamer wings
she floats through thoughts
of timeless dreams and
pages unturned.
Words written but left unread
for years as centuries
turn to new.
Her course was set
before her time,
now deep within
she feels her fragile heart
even as it breaks again.
New words to write of courage
or loss, or words perhaps of
gossamer wings that carry her
home.

Words

Such words
Between two people who loved each other
Used to wound the spirit
No thought of the devastation
The pain every word causes
Some wounds fade with time
Others lie festering
Rotting the roots the love once created
There is no cure
No miracle words to seal the wounds
The words ‘I’m sorry” become meaningless
The relationship born in love
Nurtured by feelings of the heart
Simply dies

Your Eyes Are Gone

Ten thousand words in your picture,
five thousand in your eyes.
They look like blue crystals,
and give me butterflies.
The words wrap around my heart
and quiet my soul.
From the very start,
was that part of my goal?
No more words in your picture,
no more in your eyes.
I say I mean it,
but it's just a disguise.
So do I really love you?
Well, I don't know.
That's just something
I normally don't show.

Defying Cupid

I hope you remember me
how I'll remember you
The haunting faces
coupled with cruel words too
You spat words at me
as sharp and smooth as darts
You smashed delicate wires
that entwined our hearts
So calm and clever
to all others it was a joke
But I knew each move you made
was all done to provoke
My actions that followed
were judged by all as stupid
The ache still lingers,
its my debt to defying cupid
