Defying Cupid

I hope you remember me how I'll remember you The haunting faces coupled with cruel words too You spat words at me as sharp and smooth as darts You smashed delicate wires that entwined our hearts So calm and clever to all others it was a joke But I knew each move you made was all done to provoke My actions that followed were judged by all as stupid The ache still lingers, its my debt to defying cupid
