A
Cross tick,
Running across sticks.
Overdue for blood licks.
So eager to afix
To
It's maw a
Caustic mix at picnics.
tigers chase a boy - -
he licks his lips as they run
faster and faster
for Deb's contest
just loved this story when I was five
Slowly the pen licks my soul
The pen I create
Within the memories
The soul within my soul
A passion that will last
For I am a writer
He puffs his cigar
As he licks her lips
Off its tip
He takes the cigar band
And puts it on her ring finger
And makes it all right
Gerry the giraffe,six metres tall,
greets me over his stable stall
Hello ,as a long tongue licks my face
before we take tea please say grace
Take flight, up high
Sky land, with a cardboard box?
So high, up clouds
loudly up, barrel light?
Do tricks, take a pick
ice cream licks, boomy boom?
A white moon
Mist dissolves
Polar bear licks
Smeeshy licks me
happy in the kiss
he hugs me he kisses me
He does everything that he loves to do
and he is Smeeshy
and he is such a loving cat.
My dog has run up to my face
Gives me a bath with little grace
Licks every spot
Even my snot
Seemingly without any disgrace
Russell Sivey
When a cat licks himself all over people smile and call it preening.
When a dog licks himself people frown and ask….”why does he do that?”

Black hairy beauty
White geese offer dry feathers
I'm wanderer breeze
Flying kites in empty breath
No one licks the wide web net

something turns
inside me
undulating darkness
oil slick tendrils
slip slickerly
tasting licks of amber embers
only fear the dark
that emerges from me
An old lady from Bristol,
Walks around with a bag of menthol,
She unwraps and licks,
Every time she an answer seeks,
An old lady with a heart like a ball.
oh, summer breeze,
like an ocean through the trees,
a cat, licks ice cream.

Tania Kitchens Summer Haiku Contest
She licks her lips in an encapsulated, sensual, and smattering way--leaving me invalid.
Russell Sivey
I didn't make the contest on time...
and light laps the rocks
drooling on the crack of dawn
food for candy thoughts
quick licks trick the lip
hot, hot, fort, in disarray
oh, pur, pur, again
goldfish in glass bowl
swimming around aimlessly
kitten licks her lips

female licks the male
a state of nirvana greets
Cro Magnons and bats
The cat licks her paws.
Silver-haired woman brushes hair.
Moon kisses the room.

Carsick staring up at the sky
close the roof as the sun rolls by
my seatbelt is a gray tongue that licks me into my seat
I’m beat, I’m beat, I’m beat, I’m beat, I’m beat
jangling nerves... tense, taut...
darting to and fro… caught... trapped
whimpering feebly...
The brave gunman licks his lips...
duck soup... easy prey... unarmed
Those ice cream cones really taste fine
But frustrate kids by their design.
The cream plays some tricks-
More drips than good licks
That roll down their chins as they whine!
Dog licks her paws off
How will she walk now?
We have a spray to stop that licking.
But did not get to her in time.
Her paws are gone.
I guess we’ll carry her.
She is our baby
