While some protesters are sincere others are violent.
Many are content to trace along as a face in the crowd,
snapping selfies to document for the uninterested,
that they had indeed “been there, done that”.
Proving that their bit part of something,
was better than a leading role- of nothing.

So rare a gift bestowed
To hold the future in your hands
Your legacy in life
Your values to unfold…
A chance to make and mold
The person you were naught
Make perfect the mistakes
Live dreams you often sought
Make reality the vision
That never came to be…
You hold within your hands
A challenge none can equal
The actress in the leading role
The star in your life’s sequel
The future’s in your hands
The world’s waiting for your plans.
How old is old?
Was it a mistake or am I the clown in a serial TV drama,
an actor not needed for the plot but is kept on out habit,
poor sod can`t remember his lines sitting with his pint in the corner.
One day he will be gone, and other actors will talk
about his kindness, The Guardian may show clips
when he had a leading role in a play 40 years ago.
So how long is a lifetime? I don`t know, will not
know, but I would mind a by-line or two
Act one had just begun
on the day we met
how was I to know the die was cast
and the stage was set
Act two what was I to do
when you stole my soul
who'd have guessed the part was mine
and I would play a leading role
Act three now you're with me
I put my heart into all I do
should I fall before curtain call
I could put my heart in you
Act four can't ask for more
I won't miss a line or cue
it's beyond my wildest dreams
a fairy tale come true
