whose coercive force is unmatched among standoffish streets
we maintain the latent misgivings about our absence

emerges into the limelight,

emptiness
exhaled
anguish abolished
destroyed:
insignificance
dismantled
despatched
to the extremities
of life

O, he’d expunged all that eons ago
propelled toward rare opportunities

I remember a smile
and shuddered a laugh
those kids gasp at trumpet
a latent talent scrambled
our laughter grown in disapproval
leaving before removal
In between her smiles and howls
until the echoes are herded
gently into memory
As lightning fills the room
a fright’ning flash of doom,
and thunder shakes the night
I wonder if it’s right
this feeling deep within
concealing latent sin,
these lusted dreams that be
