Here today; gone tomorrow
In a blink of an eye there could be great sorrow
Jesting no more, just past memories
Kindnesses give always, even if you disagree
Embrace them as if there’s no tomorrow
will we soak languidly into
introspect and interlock belligerently
in purposefully jesting profanely tidy
obscureness or inadvertently invite taunting

June brings a remarkable berry.
July’s reveal is quite eerie!
Jokester jumps up to laugh.
Just a lookalike! It’s a chaff!
Juneberries are a mistake,
Jesting at its genuine fake.
Jinxed, a blueberry to imitate.
Jollity lifts spirits.
Joshing’s great. Let’s hear it!
Jocose friends who, with wit,
jazz things up are a hit!
Jabs can be unnerving;
jibes can be self-serving.
Jesting must be gentle.

Fine form feeling

Words willing work
Jazz jumpy jerk
Meet moments mild
Word wanders wild

Jesting without manifesting
Joking without spending or investing
Jovial and fair
Jolly times in the air
Living as I dare
Showing that I care
Words delight me, incite me,
Inspire and light me
Jesting, joking, jovial, and jolly
hickery dickery, dolly and holly
Jumping, twirling and swirling in my brain
If this were a song, I’d think up a refrain

“Facetious” joking or jesting often
inappropriately
Gone are the days of my freedom
Home is a place far forgotten
In me lies an easy going beast
Jesting life as though it were a game
Killed someone accidentally now lost endlessly
Like a child forsaken by deity
Made a pact with the devil
Nothing seems to matter to me
Oh, this wretched life of mine
Perhaps it's better of leaving forever.

THE JOLLY OF JUSTICE
Jumping Jupiter this July,
ginormous jubilant justice,
jealously judged and justified,
joy went for the jugular.
I'm just the jewel of my destiny,
had to jettison all jesters -
jabbering jackass jesting.
Being too long on jail-flight,
jet-lagged and jaded
until my journey found Jesus
as a Jehovah's jeerer and
juvenile jobless joker,
then justification rid judgement,
joining the jolly of justice.

Of late, my muse: needy.
A truce or a treaty
it seems is in order.
The flow, rather meager,
unwilling, not eager,
a poetic hoarder.
It's coming and going;
it's fun when it's flowing.
It's frustrating knowing
fatigue has been showing
and output is slowing:
a single oar rowing.
The brain needs a resting,
from rhyming and jesting,
The cells need recharging,
expanding, enlarging.
I'll pause the keyboarding
hop the excavator,
get the engines roaring,
come back again later.
