Premium Member The Wooden Bridge

We walked to the ridge;
A sinking feeling of sadness,
The wooden bridge was down,
Absolutely nothing, we could do,
Nodding in agreement we left.

Almond tree leaves
The nutty professor
Fig tree is never confused
Which way the seasons turn
Almond tree leaves fall
Summer Miller Professor
Asks if we are in agreement
Well, I don't know now
Do I?

Premium Member Strange Brew

your new beau is a strange brew

grandma says pushing back and forth
in the rickety rocker on her front porch
at the house that was old before she was born

and the familiar black cat sitting in a spot of sun,
meows loudly in agreement

Words Matter

During sex he admitted
it was his pleasure to exclaim/shower
much indecent language all over her,
which made the act so much sweeter.
The priest in the confessional booth
understood, crossed himself,
and nodded in agreement.

God has a language for
authentic prayers.

Night Wind

I will release
Words of my soul
With flair

And tinted: red--
The color of
My purple heart

Into the night
Where wind breathes
With its might

And melts
Them, in your lips
With no one

Hears us
Except, the stars
Winkling--

In agreement
With our
Silent gasp.

A poisonous curse or a wish come true?

Love is something few alive know. it isn't something you do nor is it something you can catch. It is the outcome of a life lived for another in agreement with each other. Those who are shackled by its roots are blinded in their hearts & can only view each other whilst gazing forward towards a hopeful & peaceful end.

Premium Member rainforest royalty

Rainforest royalty keeps hidden from most
We are the birds, so we do like to boast
In the Amazon, they come out to greet us
This one today is a beauty, without any fuss.

She looks like a princess, a cardinal says.
The parrot nods in agreement, his name is Fez.
This one is gorgeous, without any doubt.
She ignored the cockatoo, so he is giving a pout.

Busy

Yesterday I saw a family without a father
it was a mother and two children,
but the third was stolen

she screamed help
and the people she could help
but only one turned to here

and no one could stop the villain
after all were still busy
I hear the song of the call

to help the woman with children
they were in agreement with the words
that all of them would have helped

but were still busy ...

Premium Member the girl on the monkey bars

Never will she stop

beetroot chops

My daughter's Tenth time

swinging across

Children behind waiting,

their arms crossed in a strop

I call out and say,

Being fair you are not

Then reaching quickly

she climbed to the top

Pointing her finger toward

the near ice cream shop

I nod in agreement

Both are smiling a lot

My daughter runs over

excited and hot

Premium Member Ginsberg, Ah Men, Ah Women

mission accomplished, bounded in truth,Ruth that is. dedicated to the rights of women matriculating the interpretation of man's law to remind man..you already wrote me in! with her impeccable, eloquent demeanor, she was once asked..well can you rap like biggie smalls? she replied, that's not my gift.all the women of the world are in agreement when it comes to truth, i pick Ruth, what ah lady, ah men, ah women.

Bad Company

"They should stop kissing babies
and write poetry."

He meant the politicians.
I nodded in agreement.

The idea appealed,
then I thought of all
the bad poetry in the world.

"Art lifts us above the base condition,
it inspires us beyond the personal."

His words seemed plausible,
until I recalled
that Hitler was an artist,
Mao and other dictators
wrote poetry.

I shuddered,
a man is judged by the company he keeps.

The Branches

Does the branch of ethnicity belong to the Judiciary Branch in our political setting?

One Branch may think that their goal is to protect
The other Branch doesn’t see a threat

Realizing that the meeting of the minds never met
It goes to a vote and the numbers in agreement
Wins the bet

What’s contained in politics? I’ll name a few

Strategy, management, and oratory skills
It’s what some politicians are missing on the hill

Premium Member Grand Prize I Imagine

The ice faerie was diligently carving an intricate reindeer sculpture
Snowballs, sleighbells and faerie balls stood at attention
It was the familiar blue of the loveliest ices
No one could dispute this might be the grand prize winner
If this antler-laden-masterpiece would freeze in place, without distortion
We would be ready for the judging, glad to receive a purple ribbon
Grand prize, I imagine, I whispered to an icicle who nodded in agreement.

Premium Member hypnotizing dracula

hypnotizing Dracula was a cinch said my aunt Maude
It was a matter of getting him to leave his crypt in Claude
He came racing down the hill and I let the pendulum swing
He took one look and dropped like a light bulb on a string

I did not believe her, my aunt has a tendency to lie
Whenever she speaks it is probably not the truth said Cy.
I was shocked that he would say this about his own mother.
But nodding next to him in agreement was his big brother.

Premium Member Lady Death

lady death lies in wait, not where you expect to find her
She is diabolical, sneaky, and determined
coming to get you in one big bang
one minute you are here, the next minute not so much

sure, if she is in agreement with cancer, you might get a warning
but more often, you will get no warning at all
lady death can get you at any time
any place, any way

when you least expect it,
bam
you are gone

here one minute
gone the next

it is her trick
and she is good at it

Premium Member Van Gogh Returns As a Rabbit

Van Gogh was dissatisfied with his new assignment.
He could not paint, for he did not have fingers.
He now had paws.
He liked the jumping that he could do,
And his ears were marvelous for hearing things.
He picked up the sounds of danger fast.
He looked up into the night sky and asked, “Why did I reincarnate as a rabbit?”
This is when he saw his own work of art, copied by God, in the night sky.
It made him feel honored and special.
“I can be a rabbit,” he said, in agreement.
