Duty Done
Warily watching, panning.
One meercat sharply scanning,
Gallantly guarding buddies
From all the big bad hoodies.
Falcons flying, cats hunting,
sneaky snakes, wild boars grunting.
Duty done, feeding time fun!...

The way we hide ourselves

The dresses of many a distant phase,
the casual attire of black and white,
the lumberjack shirts that were once, my craze.
The hoodies that hide me, both day and night,
the caps that shadow me from day’s sunlight.
The leather jacket for boldness of face,
the styles I’ve hid, for fear of losing face.

It Never Ends
Water, water everywhere
And all the dishes in sink.
Mud tracks smeared everywhere
Wiped away to return in a wink.

Food, food so much to make
Breakfast, lunch, supper.
Just diet, for God’s sake
Plus, you’re such a lousy tipper.

Heaps and heaps in the hamper
Sweaters, hoodies and jeans.
Every day it’s a damper
Walking into these monstrous scenes.

Inspired by the "ruined" first line of Samuel Taylor Coleridge's The Rime of the Ancient Mariner....

Hoodies
I like to wear hoodies.
They keep me warm.
I own no coat.
I almost always have a hoodie on
Sometimes even in the summer.
Hoodies make me feel better,
Its like a shield.
It makes me feel a little less insecure
It can also serve as a comfy pillow
I love hoodies.
I wear the hood to hide from humanity,
To go off into my own little world.
Hoodies are great.
They come in zip ups and pullovers.
Heavy and thin
And various colors.
I love hoodies....
