The quick and the dead never greet
Polar opposites that only, if they do ever meet
Cross paths at the end of a trajectory of a blast of light
A split second, high energy collision of heavy weights
The final release in a collapse of quaking knees
The messenger of death delivers the dreaded news
Expressed in a trigger of crushed steel felt before it’s heard
The soul escaping before it registers in the hanging head
flick that switch in my brain
put on my best smile
jump up
show enthusiasm
arms wide open
projecting love and harmony
turn on my high energy
boost the sparkle feature
launch my dreams
attracting upbeat people
live today with a sense of passion
dial it up a notch
giving voice to that bubbly

Crystal meth, crank and speed.
Making drug pushers rich.
Drugs no one needs.
But some do.
Now.
They have to have it.
Caffeine pills and high energy drinks are bad enough
Getting hooked on crystal meth, crank or speed,
Making drug pushers rich,
And making families sad.
Drugs that ruin people.
Taking away their potential.
Why don’t we legalize them?
So we can wean the addicted off, and
Drug pushers will have to move somewhere else to get rich?
Saturday mornings were the best
How I loved to catch your show
Your high energy naughtiness
Your effervescence was contagious
Delighted me and left me in awe
Peeking my curiosity and
Capturing my imagination
So creative and quirky
Meticulously choreographed
Perky and hysterically funny
A surprise around every corner
I was way older than what
Anyone would call a big kid
