So Splendid Hiaku
So Splendid hiaku

What was so splendid
After turkey day ended
No weight had I gained.

Never will worry
Hope turkey day will hurry
Hatchet will bury.

My momma just said
That we will have ham instead
And then go to bed.

Woman finally
I sure am starting to see
In White House should be.

God us He did bless
Narrow margin could care less
Remove all the stress.

What a woman will (5)
Duty rightfully fulfil (7)
So we can sit still.

Her confidence produces
restfulness to me.

Trump Terrible Throat Horn Trilogy Hiaku
Trump Terrible Throat

Fowl words were coming
Out of his terrible throat;
For him will not vote.

People did do in;
Took advantage of again;
Sure it was a sin.

Others did entice
To kill people who were nice
A horrible price.

What other bad things is Trump
enticing people to do. Makes me
wonder.

Deer Hiaku
My wife Jill was just commenting on how
she saw some deer when she came home
from choir practice Wednesday. They were
about 30 feet away from a pond. She has
seen then several times but never actually
at the pond drinking water. Here is my Horn
Haiku I wrote in reference to this.

Will wave magic wand;
Deer will appear at the pond
Into dark will run.

Autumn Hiaku
Fallen leaves lie still
so colorful in their death
bed of warming hues
Acorns fall in bed
nestled neath a patchwork quilt
dream in cool crisp night
Autumn's cradled babes
matured, give birth to the same
all that will be, is

Horn To Read Should Have Tried Hiaku
Horn To Read Should Have Tried Hiaku

Where will we all have to hide?
Horn has swept the countryside
Cannot be denied.

My poem you should peer inside
Even if low or high tide
By laws will abide.

Poems ended up changing tide
And on occasion off-stride
Read them should have tried.

Go ahead and have at it
But for now I have to split
Awful poems admit
(Or Maybe me commit.)

Did Pray On Dull and Dreary Day
Did Pray on Dull and Dreary Day
Horn Hiaku

to God we would pray
on a dull and dreary day
gorgeous sky now gray

our prayers to God said
after that had gone to bed
fires we do dread

about worried much
police tightly clutch and touch
now walks with a crutch

with God we will stand
after He gave us His hand
Him we understand

is consequential
while having the potential
of being essential

Political activities taking place.

What We Did Deplore Hiaku
what we did deplore
should always to ignore
think about no more

when we will forget
Will never have to regret
not stay up and fret

glad god I have met
no am no longer in debt
ideas not set

appetite was wet
and better yet it does get
to do god did let

now to summarize
must be sure to realize
god helps those that tries

Last line was designed to
get all of your attention.
