Hearts and Flowers
  The Eiffel Tower
An engagement ring
  Reason to sing

A wedding planned
  Passion's quicksand
Soon afterward ~
  Romance interred

Hearts and Flowers

Hearts and flowers
go hand-in-hand,
receiving both is grand.

Hearts and flowers,
fill the air with romance,
making us want to dance.

Hearts and Flowers,
provide warm and fluttery feelings
like butterflies doing wheelings.

Premium Member no room for any clothes

Polly, pretty in pink pinned her hearts onto a classy clothesline
Showing off her fancy embroidered skirt in a way that was fine.
We voyeurs watched from our windows, amazed as she pinned a rose.
Hanging Chinese lanterns, hearts and flowers, no room for any clothes.

Premium Member One Heart Remains True

    Valentine’s Day
      once all hearts and flowers

    Squeezed ‘tween walls and chambers
a few minutes, instead of hours

Yet when you come into view
my heart races, pulse rises too…

Let these few lines comfort you ~
      one heart remains true

Energy

Energy of you
Energy of me
Energy of us

Like a picture on a Facebook
page gone viral
I'll write about us all day
today in my spiral notebook

I'll draw hearts and flowers
and jump up and down for joy

Love the emotion
Love the commotion

Emotional Identity Disorder
Is okay by me now with you!

Premium Member Who Dares to Define Poetry

Who dares to define what poetry is
Romantics feel it’s hearts and flowers

Some might say it’s a ruthless biz
others would point to its staying power ...

A novel has a beginning, a middle, an end
       Most short stories, a denouement

I say poetry reflects the spirit in me ~
though I suspect most folks would disagree

Too Late

I wanted to write about chasing rainbows,
But someone told of its beauty before me.
I wanted to tell of star filled skies,
The mystic milky way, of sand castles
Build ny lovers on a hot summer day, and
The evening tide washing those dreams away...
Ah! someone wrote of it before me.
I wanted to write a new rhyme of love,
About hearts and flowers, the heavens above,
Yet, someone wrote of it, before me.

The Doorway

the dream spirals
inside your mind
opening he inner door
to reveal the hidden truth
that lurks inside the darkness

behind the door
the fog lifts
as the wheel spins
to a golden sunrise
shining its new light
upon the darkness inside

taking the inner soul on
on a journey
to internal serenity
where hearts and flowers
thrive in the calming waters

waters that once was
                        a raging torrent

Will You Marry Me

Written in this poem for you my love that's wrote,
Is a secret invitation,
Look careful it's no joke,
Lost amongst the romance,
You will see more than hearts and flowers,
Obvious or hidden?
Upon this page that you now scower
Maybe you are missing it?
Although I think the message clear
Rarely your so blind my love
Read again my dear
Your getting very close I'm sure
Muddled and confused
Everything awaits my love, do you need a clue?
