A Wedding Planned

Hearts and Flowers
  The Eiffel Tower
An engagement ring
  Reason to sing

A wedding planned
  Passion's quicksand
Soon afterward ~

Cool, an arranged marriage that lasted so Long...... Sad story in the poem. Sometimes it calls for more than one try. Sometimes a partmer is snatched by death. Marriages are not all perfect. Glad yours is. Pangie

Ooh. My marriage isn't all that perfect. It's perfectly functional though. (There's a big difference there). Thanks, Pangie. :) gw

Oh no! How painful. It's nice to read you again after my long break! You tell, oh! so much in few words. I love that.

A valued comment, indeed, Swetha. Thank you! ... I see that this poem is all of 21 words. It's a new style, I believe -- 'Fewer Words, Fewer Worries.' Thanks again, Gershon

If marital love dies out very fast, it is very sad state. I still hold that opinion. I never meant your personal case. One with a sense of humor will see small differences in a healthy way, I am quite sure. May your relationship go strong on and on!

Maybe not, but purely 'romantic love' doesn't stand up to the test of a real relationship, such as marriage, very well. You'll probably be shocked to learn that my marriage was arranged, and after 27 years it's doing just fine. ~ Lower Expectations
