Premium Member Morning Eyes
window frames genuflection
eyes closed
reflection of colortones
bold and bright, bent
by early morning light, praise
of knobby oaks
like a rising thicket of fog
noticed only by specularity
of a poet’s repose

Premium Member Fire Does Not Discriminate
Fire does not discriminate. She treats us all equally.
She consumes everything in her path – wood, cotton, linen.
Leaves gray and black smoldering devastation behind.

Popping and crackling, she inches up like a snake.
Trees, houses, sheds, garages, churches, shudder and fall.
Bowing to her majesty, as she races past, ignoring their genuflection....

All war is unjust
All war is unjust

You celebrate your murderers like they won you a war
And what for? Is my question. Do you pass inspection?
No genuflection; no halo you own.
You gun down the innocent and gnaw on their bones,
Like the savages you are, you fallen stars,
Are dead to me. I see such glee.
Oh the pain you reap.
Your just reward, for an unjust war,
For all are…is a silver star on your heart.

charismatically gifted
 in  conceptual leaps
  expressions
opening
          a doorway
to destiny

moments in time
           stumato,
from a butterfly mind

 scattered
with unfinished masterpieces
of imagination

 drawings chalked& charcoaled
with tonal modulation
the inner person
 portrayed
face on
    in ambivalence
profiles turned to the light
 display emotional depth
through the genius
 of genuflection
       with touch & sensibility...

ISLAND god

By allowing us to suffer
                                      Pain
                                          Consequences
                                                           Reality

Bearing down on humble ground
We find our way
To heaven’s gate

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Given perfection, no reflection, no genuflection
We become gods with dire direction
A smoke-filled room
No chance of escape
The ultimate place
For the island god
