A Fiery Disaster
Fire bursting through
Meteorites soaring high
Peril among us
Leaving citizens flummoxed
Oh, a woeful day!...

Flu
If you find yourself flummoxed with flu
There’s really not much you can do.
Sip some soup or drink tea
	And eventually
You’ll feel less and less apt to ach-oo!...

Foxes Fumbling Forward
Flummoxed foxes fleeing, fumbling forward from furious
Hurried heaving hounds howling hourly hitherto

Stop

Withered weathered wild woods would weep when
Man made memories murdering many mammals

one by one, as we join the dots
attention quanta, in small lots
relies on memory recall
both pleasant and fears that appall
flummoxed by life’s Gordian knots

The Hundred Sheep
Plussed and flummoxed,
The hundred sheep.
As I tossed and turned
In my sleep.
They must wonder
If crafty wolf
O'er the fence with them
Did leap!
As I counted
Droopy-eyed,
I must've let a one
Slip by!
Loud the bleat
Of troubled sheep
And I tossed and turned
In my sleep....

Premium Member Twenty-One All the Time
One of my many foibles is greed. I have placed myself in a bad situation indeed. If I only hadn't sat at this blackjack table today. My depleted bankroll won't permit me to stay. I am flummoxed by the way the dealer pulls twenty-one. That's it. I am over and done.

Wherever there be subtle calibration
Delusion borne of ego is at play
Master of the art of persuasion
Wherever there be subtle calibration
We remain flummoxed until cessation
Only in silence do we cease to sway
Wherever there be subtle calibration
Delusion borne of ego is at play

Hardly anyone else has their own white rabbit herald.
I do. His name is Poindexter P. Horacio Merry Merald.
He announces things to me in my ear all the time.
You don’t need to write that; it’s now time to rhyme.

That’s not the adjective I would use. I am flummoxed.
You are annoying me greatly; I am super gumm-uxed.
I listen some days and ignore him other days for sure.
His intention is to keep me honest and my poems pure....

Ruffled
I envy a cool and calm person,
Unruffled by all of life's stress,
Who takes things in stride and never will hide
From impediments to her success.

It's hard to be that type of being,
So centered and quiet and calm,
Who will watch things unfold and will never lose hold,
Owning neither a worry nor qualm.

Of course, I am far from that person
Who rolls with the punches, serene.
I get flummoxed so fast that you might be aghast
By my feathers, too ruffled to preen....
