Burly Farley Foley bought a field at Brawley,
On Southern California's sunny soil.
There, farmer Farley Foley grew a crop of barley,
And bought a boiler just to make the barley boil.

God called December 18th,
When Chris Farley was 33.
He led him to the heavens,
And set his soul free.
Chris will always be remembered,
As he accepted God's request.
When God needed His comic,
He laid Chris' soul to rest.
When God called that day,
He took a great American comedian.
And granted a divine promotion,
In being one of heaven’s comedians.

Chris Farley's idol was John Belushi
and Chris Farley assimilated John Belushi to a tee.
His very fast lifestyle, his overindulgence of drugs and alcohol
but he also assimilated John Belushi's comedy best of all.
Both have made me laugh so hard that I couldn't catch my breath.
Such a shame that Chris Farley also assimilated John Belushi's death.
I recall in my youth when Lenny Bruce was my idol.
I hope I don't assimilate his death and be found dead on my bathroom tile.

We loved a comedian who was very funny and loved to shout.
Chris Farley was the man who I'm talking about.
He used drugs but he shouldn't be judged for his mistakes.
His death in 1997 was very hard for his fans to take.
Sadly when it came to drugs, he couldn't avoid them.
They consumed his life and eventually destroyed him.
His demise made all of us feel pretty rotten.
He may be dead but he'll never be forgotten.
