Premium Member Men really are from Mars
he warns he's not a mind reader
as the wiles of my silent treatment
fall by the wayside wasted and utterly forlorn

Premium Member Fault Lines of a Life
We drift, unaware—
years merge into moments,
promises fall by the wayside, collect dust.

If we could backtrack every decision,
each fault line of our days,
would we discover we really lived
or just shuffled in place?...

Don'T Fall By the Wayside
D-on't fall by the wayside,
I-n spite of the rugged wind;
A-im to reach your goal,
N-ever let your ardor
E-nd.

F-all not by the wayside,
L-et not your fervor fail;
O-n the twenty-sixth of August,
R-ow your boat and sail.
E-ven though it's isn't easy to go against the tide;
S-tay focused to emerge winner, don't fall by the wayside....

The Core
At the core, distractions fall by the wayside and nature takes the stage. The face of duality blurs, while hearts integrate. Fear is confronted with softness, and pain replaced with ease. The mind freed from conditioning, the ego set ablaze. Intuition leads to freedom, while doubt lays to rest. Purpose calls for a hearing; it is time to take our place....

Stumble and Fall
Stumble and fall,
Pick up, start over.
Life's a continuous treadmill,
Beginning to end.

The race is on,
Who is in front?
If he stumbles and falls,
Will he begin again?

Life has started.
Stumble and fall,
No bones broken,
After all.

The terrain gets steeper,
The speed increases.
Are you gaining or losing,
This race in life?

Fall to the wayside,
Stumble and fall.
Life's dangerous path,
Belongs to us all....

Premium Member A silence exponential
i speak
my words fall to the wayside
off a cliff into the great abyss

i hear myself
but no one else takes notice
as if i'm walking through
a fog that's dense
and everyone is blind

i speak yet
no one hears a word i say
i'm wading trough
a pool of driftwood
i may as well join in
and float towards
the great unknown

i'm alone while
everyone around me
goes about their business
oblivious to me

Premium Member Different Hearts, Beat On Different Strings
How different we are
And in the way we act
In love and romance
A heart filled pact

It can start out so good
To a thunderous applause
And fall by the wayside
Just because

Corners are turned
Sometimes we go the same way
And sometimes round the same corner
We can go slightly astray

At the start of it all
To the table we bring
But somewhere along the road
Different hearts, beat on different strings

Premium Member As You Grow Older
As you grow older, they fade into oblivion
The friends you once revered,
The company you once adored,
Like flowers, they fade and fall by the wayside
You go through life alone
And no one cares to know
Your pains they cannot share
And the trouble they cannot feel
As you grow older,
Their motives become clearer
Yesterday's fondness dissipates
Time has conquered their love
And you are left alone
With memories of lies
The lie of friendship
Mocked by time...
