Embrace permanent eccentricities with wide praying arms,
To make our whining goose’s life joyful, hopeful and calm.

A Strange Sunday
‘Twas something strange in the way she waltzed
A majestic triumph of the age
Her classic imagery paints the room
With such vibrant colour

Often this will leave a man to ponder
Upon life’s eccentricities
Will they ever shape into meaning?...

Euphoria
Today's a happy
kind of day

or should be

I listen to the world
around me

there's a quiet
song on the radio

I remember living
in New York a while
then returning to my
native Virginia

I look at my
feet
strange habits
eccentricities

slowly lovely
who I am....

When I'm old and tired
I reckon I'll say and do stuff
in my typically bold way will
inspire people wanna take me down.

I deserve it.
(Deserve is one helluva word, ain't it?)

When I'm old and tired
hope folks will overlook
glaring eccentricities and contradictions

In favor of effort to love....

In Search of the Mind
(This poem was published in Every Day Poets. Enjoy the read!!!!)

“You have lost your mind!”
they told him. His eccentricities
surpassed the boundaries
they regarded as
normal.
Determined to get his mind back,
he searched forest, roadside,
bridge, cemetery….everywhere he remembered
visiting; wondering whether his mind existed or not,
because he had memories.

A Hundred Poems - Xxxii
Forgive me  my madness, eccentricities,
        my faults my tenderness
that pain --> a thorn inside my brain
and skin so human  that it hurts!
My eyes of marble   so hardly
knew softness; a sight
beyond light and that thumping pain
          within the cargo vessel held;
lifetimes of love and sorrow some of which
my soul measured    life on hold;
to save this spot so much like Gold.

Hundred Poems - Xxxii
FORGIVE me & my madness, these eccentricities
 & my faults; my tenderness!
-- that pain --> a thorn inside my brain!
and skin so human  it hurts!

Like out of the blue a raging bull.
My eyes of marble   so hardly knew a softness; a
sight beyond light & thumping pain within the
cargo vessel held; lifetimes of love and sorrow
some of which  my soul measured  ||  life on hold;
to save this spot || so much like Gold.
toward the living and happy I SALUTE!...

Premium Member A Toast To Enchantment
To butterflies, bats, and midnight creatures,
To the brilliant, the dark, and things unseen.
To roses, wine, and satin dresses,
To a lucid child-like dream.

To the musty scent of ancient places,
To thoughts distilled on a fragile page,
To open-ended expectations, and
Eccentricities of a secret sage.

To the promise that lies in what is unfinished,
To the charm in the rawness of the fray,
To quests that lead to curious changes,
And rest that unbinds peace and play....
