golden earrings
too extravagant she said
turning back on love
announced intentions
pouring his heart out to her
she turn and fled
Her life was on ice
she wore purple silk
accented black earrings and chain
ship of gold mothballed

Hortense Halle was a regular hoot
She bought herself a new cottontail suit
Hula hoop earrings
A pair of pink wings
She never did fly ~ but boy, was she cute
midst emerald woods
gold earrings worn buttercups ---
figs and filberts fume

A score of years
Leaves vintage earrings
Faded cards
Photos
Mixtapes
Nighties
Places now gone
And empty air
That was once dipped
In
Great Passion.

women were tiny
their waists and noses petite
they had large dark eyes
they wore stylish modest dresses
fancy velvet hats, earrings and gloves
beautiful women in the beautiful sixties
Imagine if the ladies had ears like a dog
Wearing earrings on the tips we'd all be agog
Attractive... not really
A real silly dilly
Licking her ears, tongues would get clogged
STONED
Tahitian black pearls
Sparkling as studs
Glamorous earrings
Beautiful woman!

Scent of amethyst
Ruby's allure
Sparkle of sapphire
Opal's flash in the glade
Necklace of pearls
Earrings, pure gold
Seductresses wear them

While Watching Golden Globes
Probably are watching the Golden Globes;
Long dangling earrings hanging from lobes;
No hims and haws;
Only loud applause;
Delightful entertainers were there in droves.

Terrace in Azayba
On the white terrace
the sky sieves
sapphire earrings.
From the nests of the minarets
deep trembles
embalm the horizon.
White halo
the city travels
through the desert -
a ship
of prayers.
Green woods
Barefoot I walk
Chalk half broken
Unspoken yearnings
Earrings from the caves
Waves from the Tigris
Enslaving existence
Distances chopped
Pearl drops

Mighty behind desk and beak,
teaching chemistry earrings.
Glass rims speak of test--
new eyes flame begins.
Some books peek with hearings,
some hide their giggle as best,
while others lean out to confess
the test they'd like to take.
HOT EARRINGS
Tri-tangled and brushing
Along your cheek
As you take a sip
Click, click, click
Your hair crosses over your skin
Bliss
I wish I could
Kiss, kiss, kiss
Your jaw is slipping forward as you
Drink and mint
Drink and mint
a guinea fowl
molting polka dot feathers—
handmade earrings

Ears
Earrings are just embellishments
Ear on my left and rights
Earns the true credits
Easy to hear the chimps and deer'swith with them
Earth is open to me by them
Earls songs melodies because of ears
Elders best advice is priceless with them ...
"In life, all we have are our memories. Hold on to the good ones and let the bad ones go." By Poet
Junk for some and treasures for me
Unique finds everywhere I look
Necklaces and earrings I once played with
Kitchen towels grandma lovingly made
As i walk on the earth's turbulent turf, Iook back on events that occurred after my
birth. I dealt with what i felt was the worst and starved after being over-worked.
Relationships aren't safe because betrayal lurks. You can't trust what wears
skirts, earrings and carries a purse.
Form:
Shining little objects,
left on a sill.
A pair of iridescent earrings,
and a delicate necklace.
“I don’t know if we will,
see each other again,”
she said as her opal eyes,
reflected the spectrum of dawn.
Yet, the opulent night memory,
and her jewels remain,
just enough to sustain.
Silver and gold
Silver and gold
Shiny new jewelry
Or vintage so old
Earrings, bracelets, charms and such
I like all of my jewelry, so very much
Some are real, others are fake.
Some are priceless, others half-baked.
Silver and gold, silver and gold.
I wear them daily, though I am old.
She's as cold as Springtime
dark as the sun
she wants to be strong
but she's just too much fun.
she tells me she's saving
for shoes and a car
but I hear her raving
for earrings that are...
diamonds and rubies
and gold all entwined
my daughter's a devil............
the heavenly kind.
do not be intimidated by fancy birds
they put their earrings on one at a time
like the drag queen peacocks
and the flabbergasted flamingos
do not be intimidated by fancy birds
you can carry off glitz and glamor as well as they
even if you cannot fly up to the top of an oak tree
you can walk along the porch railing and crow
I was born in May!
I was born in a joyful night.
I had my beginning –
when the new earrings and stars were on birches,
when the lilac and tulips blossomed.
I appeared, when oceans warmed,
And dawn came more beautiful.
I was born in May:
I am wild and affectionate.
At night time when the guitar sang,
My life started!
EARLY MASS IN ORDINARY TIME
Gray helmet hair, carefully
Curled, dangling earrings,
Designer suit, ear of salamander,
Eye of newt. White haired
Soulmate, shoulders strong,
More is More, importance seen
In every pore: Respectability
highly prized, but my Sunday
Plea to The Powers That Be:
Deliver Me from Respectable,
so unacceptable.
You know, I want, I want, I want...
Hurry up! Let's go for shopping...
I just want two bangles of rainbow
and a simple anklet of lightning
Small earrings of glowing snow
and a necklace of rain dropping
I won't spend much money...
So no need me of stopping...
And tuck you in my hair bun,
will not it be so frightening...
