Webbed feet paddle to mommy
Single file, hungry

yellow duckies slosh
a fishing line rewinding
blue sky’s skipping in the pond
whistles the green frog
a tan boy puppy puddles
small gray cloud joins with splish-splash
The heat is sweltering,
causing beads of sweat,
Somehow, the little children
don't fret,
Their rubber duckies go everywhere
with them, swimming in their perspiration
like a long lost friend,
There is no need to wait for bathtime for
duckies to make their debut,
They've become eco-friendly,
recycling human dew.
Little duckie swimming across the lake,
making a little duckie wake,
trying to get to the other side,
head and beak up, full of pride,
looking for his mother duckling,
and his other sibling sucklings,
now he has them in his sight,
swimming hard, with all his might,
now little duckies are all together,
you might say,
birds of a feather,
in the lake they go now one by one,
I guess you'de call this,
some great duckie fun.
