The Dead Show
There were three little boys at a show
They hadn't wanted to go
The show was terrific
The costumes horrific
Making the dead difficult to know

My mindful cat is practising Zen.

But often he sleeps quietly and then

It is difficult to know exactly when

My mindful cat is practising Zen....

If you want to know why our ancestors are important…
here’s a little rule of thumb…

It’s difficult to know where we’re going…
If we don’t know who we came from.

Premium Member Rocky Road
Life is a rocky road to traverse,
The destination is unpredictable,
Success is something difficult to know,
Failure is not unusual,
Life is like going dowsing,
Using wet noodles....

Premium Member amused by running
a woman with a child is running in the rain
to her car?
is she a mom or a grand mom?
difficult to know
the running part amuses me
is she fearful?
does she always run?
does she look frightened by the lightning?
I am confused why I am intrigued
Am I a psychopath?...

Premium Member Dare I Leave Them
Nineteen tubs of family photos
Some with wedding photos of people
who are now divorced.
No one wants them.

But maybe later?

It is so difficult to know what to do.
Dare I leave all of these tubs for my children?
Isn't it bad enough they are going to have to unload the
rest of my houseful of junk?

Nineteen tubs.
Can I face them?
Not today....

Reflections

Concrete and steel,
black windows,
multi-level buildings.
Artificial constructs
meant to keep humans
protected from nature.

Grass and trees
mere reflections
in the dark black glass.
Or are the buildings
mere reflections of
nature.

What is real and
what are ghostly reflections?
In our modern world
we have isolated ourselves
so much that it is difficult to know.

Shock the Garden
Symbols are true, because they are there.
Your solemn ache
proud of failure
traces a circle.
Dark and eternal, in all its purity
punishment becomes an award for life.

It is not difficult to know
whether a god exists.
You commit suicide to become a god.

Inoculating falsehood
dying daily unto death was not my pitch.

Your mind breaks the moon in dark,
into hundred bright crumbs.
Each bit becomes a metaphor
To shock the garden.
