I didn't want to
I didn't want to
Do those things with you
But you persisted
Crushed my soul
Then enlisted
Now your off fighting a war
While I'm here feeling like a whore
she didn't care
if he loved her
or not
she didn't care
if he knew
there were others
she didn't care
how much he
cried
raged
begged
they found him
at the bottom of the river
she just didn't care
Why didn’t you use cardinals? Asked the one who is never pleased.
Her harsh words used to injure my feelings, take me to my knees.
Today I said, “bluebirds look so pretty with valentines, red.”
She did not make another comment, this non-artsy type, Ms. Fred.
I strolled through swamps and muck
I climbed the mountains in the air
I untangled from stuck
revevrted to the now and here
I so wanted to hope
and to learn how to cope
To exit the trap, mope
I strolled through emotion
and bled through devotion
but didnt stop the ocean
I didn’t get the chance to really date her.
I didn’t get the chance to even know her.
Not really.
I got the piece of her that was left after that first heart break.
The part that said it, I’m good
Instead of who she was before she knew what love was
And what love isn’t.
I didn’t ...know...her.
Didn’t know what love was,
Until I was with you.
You touch my heart,
Warming it with your love.
You’re the words from my heart,
That I write.
Arms I want to lie in forever.
Voice I want to hear sing to me.
Gorgeous face I want to wake up to.
Love you like there’s no tomorrow.
I want to keep you forever.
Fourth-grader, Leander had his hands down his pants.
Sitting on the rug, doing what people do but usually, in their sleep.
His young teacher said, "“Leander, please put your hands in the air!”
He said “I have to itch my junk.”
I smiled when she told me this. “What did you say?”
“I didn’t say anything. I don’t have junk, so I kept quiet.”
all my life
is spent
chasing dreams
not greed
something more
i was born with
never forgotten
always
a persuasion
that cannot be
ignored,
here
on page countless
upon my flesh
the mark
the scar
of living
wishing on the stars
knowing
one day the truth
will show
all i asked
sought
and why i
suffered so.
The house is a mess you can barely walk throw it
You’re wondering what I did all day
Well today I didn’t do it
What your hungry
Oops sorry I didn’t get too it
I’m sure you can do it
While you’re at it get the dishes to
Oh and run the vacuum
Take out the trash
Mop the floor
And scrub the tub
today i didn't do it
soo umm hun get to it
im sure you can do it
Form:
I wish we didn’t have gravity
It would be fun to fly around untethered and uninhibited
the teachers would have a heyday
yelling and screaming their faces off as we zoomed around the room
our parents would be frantic, begging our grandparents for advice
grandpa would be too busy laughing to care
I wish we didn’t have gravity but maybe nets on trees
if we wanted, we could grab one and sit with cats
SATAN JESUS DIDN'T LIE TO ME
IT WAS YOU
WHO SENT THAT EVIL
BRAIN TUMOR NEWS
THAT'S ALWAYS TRYING
TO MAKE ME FEEL
CONDEMNED ME OR BLUE
ALWAYS TRYING TO MAKE
FORGET THE TRUTH
THAT JESUS MAKES
ALL THINGS NEWS
JESUS DIDN'T LIE TO ME
HE TOLD ME HE WOULDN'T
IN HIS HOLY WORD
WHICH IS SHARPER
THAN ANY THREAT
THAN A TWO-EDGED SWORD
THAT'S DEEP YOUR
LIES WANNA CUT ME?
WHEN JESUS SAID
THAT HE LOVES ME
EVERYTIME YOU STAY
TRYING TO PLAY ME
SATAN JESUS DIDN'T LIE TO ME
IT WAS YOU
WHO SENT THAT EVIL
BRAIN TUMOR NEWS
THAT'S ALWAYS TRYING
TO MAKE ME FEEL
CONDEMNED ME OR BLUE
ALWAYS TRYING TO MAKE
FORGET THE TRUTH
THAT JESUS MAKES
ALL THINGS NEWS
JESUS DIDN'T LIE TO ME
HE TOLD ME HE WOULDN'T
IN HIS HOLY WORD
WHICH IS SHARPER
THAN ANY THREAT
THAN A TWO-EDGED SWORD
THAT'S DEEP YOUR
LIES WANNA CUT ME?
WHEN JESUS SAID
THAT HE LOVES ME
EVERYTIME YOU STAY
TRYING TO PLAY ME
Life Didn’t Exist Without Nicks
Written: by Miracle Man

Life’s been loaded with a myriad of glitches,
I’m considering the use of the moniker scar.
Twenty times in life I’ve experienced stitches,
So I’ll never be mistaken for some film star.
If fewer than three sutures they don’t count,
Or the broken bones and assortment of flays.
It began at fourteen and with age would mount,
I’m just an old dog that had a few rough days.
I wasn’t ever the normal kid
I sat with people I didn’t know
I was very open and friendly
I was the smart kid
I chose to study instead of play
And one day my parents told me to be like everyone else
I didn’t understand what they meant
So I became normal and dull
I sat with no one
I was quiet and boring
I was the dumb kid
I chose to play instead of study
And one day my parents told me to go back to myself
I didn’t understand what they meant
And had forgotten what I was
