Hopscotch

I saw God, so ... now what?

I wait,
standing in line
at the grand Hopscotch Game

holding the stone in my hand

The Ordinary Heart

The Invisible unpicked the stitches
holding the broken pieces together
like loud music Love spilled like poetry
from the ordinary heart

Styx and Stones

“Styx and Stones”

bad entities exist here
we’ve crossed Styx

we learn we’ve reached sure
when stones are thrown

The Panic Room

The heart is a panic room
the doors slide shut
super quick

all is silent.

behind the metal walls
there is no music
but you can hear

morse code

The Wake-up Call

"The Wake-up Call"

some of us woke up far too late;

we were too concerned
about ourselves
and The Great Escape

The Called

"The Called"

The Electric resides coursing through all,
dormant, the Primary waits to be ignited,
the impulse Light activated, is called

Flames

music goes down
to that sweet place
where virtue rains
in flames

a noble life ...
still slaves,
do what thou wilt
dancing, still in chains

music goes down
to that sweet place
where virtue rains
in flames

bleeds

bruised
green purple yellow
poppies bloom a
different kind of
heroin

he bleeds

a heroine
was She
bruised
purple yellow green
poppies blooming

anti-hero
seeds buried
deep planted
unfragrant
and unseen

a heroine

ragazzino salta

“ragazzino salta”

face to the wall
reading poetry
slingshot spitballs

little jack horner
sat in his quiet corner
once upon a time

ragazzino salta
your sorry muse, old ‘been,
your lawless circus,

never mine.

saltwater and sun

Seaspray hits your face
like a slap, wakes you up
cupped in the prow
dipping up dipping down
watching for fins
coming up dolphins
you lick the salt
from your lips
and speak of love
to the Sun

the anchor, chained,
is stored below deck,

it won’t drop
for a while

Tomorrow Already Gone

“Tomorrow Already Gone"

Tomorrow
already gone
these stories are for you
you will follow me
before too long
Tomorow
already gone

Walking in The Sky

"Walking in The Sky"

When you caught me up in your Blue Sky
I considered madness IS preferrable in some circumstances;

I walked towards you in the astral and found myself falling

“walk across the water to me “, You said,
“but how?” I replied, “when one is walking in Blue Sky?”

Americano

"Americano"

filter-dripped
watered down
weak coffee

artificial

the mood
steaming diluted
swings lower, unfilling;

the wanting
lusciously dark
hot to the tongue

more rapid
complex in richness
animated

scalding and sharp

Expresso
piercing arrow
shoots straight to the heart.

Pink and Fleshy

"Pink and Fleshy"

I’m in your petri dish now
once upon a time I was pink and fleshy
the Other side now draws me closer inside out

to be
close to you,
let me be clear

like your Ghost in the machine

I’m now your shadow
a little on the Left side
of that last supper table

Blooming

"Blooming"

I think it’s distracting-

it soothes Her
the other says,
“poems,
are something alien”

to the one reading ;

yet, it soothes Her;

the world is wide open
in all of these moments,
like a split seedling,
somehow, taking all of it in

dying
regeneration
blooming;

rising

Tar and Feathers

We exist in space and time
invisible, unseen for who we
truly are exchanging
words for thoughts
never face-to-face
but touching just the same
vitriol tossed with the sweetness
fair barter for some form
of kind heaven exchanging
inclement weather
to the vestries of
each others’
netherworlds
divesting
tar and feathers

The Pain Sweet

Existentially you think
you know me
having eaten a slice
of my mind
delicious you think
the bubbling froth
of this poetry
peppered with sprinkles
of rising undertones
the sugar depth charged
unstirred, yet
touch the lip of my cup
you’d feel the burn
the tongue means to speak
unhoneyed
the kiss stings
the pain
swollen
and
sweet

Goldfish

"Goldfish"

The left said we weren’t right
we were catscradles
lost and over-stitched in it all

The right said we were goldfish
in an over-crowded drowning bowl
fed on pronouns and dreams of an equal world

poetry skewered our lives
with the beauty of it all
but we were oblivious

to what was really
calling

The Sanctuary's Unsafe Passage

That kiss parted lips
like Moses parted the Red Sea
and all the Love in words and deeds
walked out of the darkness
of a cavernous domain
the inner Everest rising
between the time of drowning
the mind climbed
the tongue rolled out
like a red velvet carpet
delivering unsafe passage
into the Heart’s silky sanctuary

honey bonbon

Hazarding a guess
he holds onto his inner rake
like a shining crucifix
raking leaves in his Autumn years
he considers poetry
keeping bees in their hives
is just as sweet as honey
a joy to convert
his favourite hidden hobby
he considers french slang
expensive bonbon candy,
then, next page, he reads:
"les bijoux indiscrets"

ravenous,
he psalms within the margin

All Hail

"All Hail"

Within the sky of blue,
embedded liked jewels
the many hidden colours,
the truest hues
arrive in storms,
where all the hail
like eyes falling
from the vaults
of heaven
melt bad dreams,
and the better,
lost in cloudy vision,
are drawn back in
and up again -
all hail
the Inclement,
and their
cloudy whethers

Love Slays

"Love Slays"

Love slays Mother Dragon
Dragon Mother slays Love

there in the middle 2
unbreakable meet

as 1 conquering unwarranted defeat

Love trains Dragon Mother
Mother Dragon trains Love

on repeat
and so on and so on and so on

throughout
all Eternity

LOVE always,
Slays Xx

The X Spot

There was trouble written all over her
like a treasure map, gold buried deep
between the missing ampersands
where to begin,

X marks the spot

Y chromosones
like quicksand YX
rolled up, a necessary
reoccurring addiction
sage smoked slowly

then fed to the sharks

gold buried deep
between the missing
ampersands
the better treasure
hidden

XX marks the spot
