Embrace the shadows
the sun has banished
darkness has swept in
monsters have risen
now,
it's time to feed the demons
And the stars shined bright in those blue eyes of yours, with demons surrounding you, I still fell in love with the stars.
Where shall
We find wisdom
To silence
The demons of mars
Through this
Canon of love
Wisdom captured
This lonely star
There's worse things
than to live life
a pared down poet
stripped of hubris
at peace with myself
and the demons at bay.
darkness i once walked
demons of the past followed
now...the path i walk
lights up my way, as i pick

an agenda beckons, we comply
action, inaction, both being same
in midst of many we are alone
there remain no demons to tame
Hunted by my past
My soul is bound and chained
Running while in place
Mind's crevices a playhouse
For the demons in my mind
Distant volcano vents bedim
the ever-changing azure welkin
Drunk off demons carousing amuck
in my metaphysical crepuscule
Hearts beat like stars die,
Footprints are washing away.
Snakes uncoil,
Demons fly.
Save yourself,
No one is getting out alive.
Form:
The dead are singing
You're cut off from the living
Dancing with demons
You'll find no tomorrow in
Broken records of sorrow
These demons
These drugs
Working hard
Folding rugs
May the best of me
Still be to come
God help me
I’m still on your side
Lived a life of sin,
That which I remained within,
Letting no one in:
For fear I may never win
These wars against my demons.
Spiralled out of hell
in demons heart shell
put the snib
on heavens exit
as i was leaving
nothing going up
just out

I love the rain,
It releases my demons,
I am whole again.
I stretch my arms to the sky,
Giving praise for saving me once again.
Epigram #35:
KNOW YOURSELF
Know yourself
Change is key
Unmask your demons

The light that Enlightens the darkness for every lost soul must get tired sometimes,
For even I become weary and appease my demons..
Not politically

Or socially

I curse upon
your demons
And damn
— your wanton souls
(Chicago: August, 2024)
To beat your demons
And their burdens of darkness
Stop indulging them,
Walk away from those battles,
So that you may choose your own
Flames from my back
Demons in my pack
A mission to complete
With guarantees not to be beat
To drive man mad
What better goal to have?
I don’t cut to feel
My pain is
All gone
I’ve dealt with my demons
Every day
From dusk
To dawn
I’m still alive
But barely breathing
i have no words
i cannot speak
i mumble on
it comes out weak
i labor hard
my demons squeak
i try holding them in
but then i tweek
Form:
The demons always come at night
but oft, they dwell, until the dawn
or stay the day without invite;
“till one of us first moves the pawn.
The demons of slumber
awaken a hunger
for the resting of my soul
sweet night has come
with the days work done
now my body pays the toll
perpetual smile
lifts up others constantly
wanting the world to feel joy
keeping her demons a secret
well hidden under her happiness mask
Tell me that you think I'm Special,
While I'm hog-tied to the trestles
As I await the train to crush my pain-
Too many Demons have I wrestled!
