If my dream comes true
Our kids with we two
Fly over the seas of blue
Much money we will accrue
In Paris for my opening debut

Sir Leonard Hutton famous for cricket
Idolized him yet we played in the snicket
His bat willow three springs and all
Ours a joke no umpire to call
Yet did dream of 'Lords' having took a wicket.

For this new
year's debut,
we turn to
next in queue,
twenty-two.
A blank slate
sure sounds great,
I can't wait
to ice skate
and lose weight.

Wind did steal this poet's tongue,
wrapping it in spider's spun.
It whispered words sharp and sweet,
blowing them down city streets.
Gutters caught each broken sound,
spun them till they became bound.
Listen close—you'll hear them too,
poetic voice did debut.
The trilling birds are on the wing.
The blooms are lovely; skies are blue.
The breeze exudes a unique zing.
Springtime has made its grand debut.
The young and young-at-heart will sing
of love, and some will say “I do.”
It’s here—sweet, long-awaited spring.
The season’s grandeur, now pursue.
