Survival
Tears jerking, winter blue sounding
grieved mind crashing, wintry breeze dabbing
death horns calling, pink lips screaming
dark eyes bleeding, heart stick cracking
tragic hours loitering, disheartening believe dismissing
quenching all neurosis, victory sounds crazy....

YAWNS

Yonder valley of stone
Yellow yawns wonder

Seemingly yelling
In open mouth drawls

Rain or streams
I do not know

Blowing nose, dabbing eyes
Taking warm sips of tarpit

Toothpick splinters barely hold
Open misty window shades

Eventually snapping shut
Locked like crocodile jaws

The Secret
Dabbing cologne on my body
I smell him enter the room.
The night lights shut off
and his thought becomes
the shadows that move.

His hand guides mine
and I feel his warm touch
returning to me once more
in the darkness to love me.

I call to him softly
and he answers I am here,
his breath felt as I exhale.
This is the secret I share,
my love dwells in silence....

Echo Came Back
with smiles dabbing colors of sunrise
we chiseled a sculpture in our hearts
addictive pleasure of our teasing flirts
we thought we would never drift apart.
a crystal wine cup,.. clutched too hard,
bleeding cuts,..in pieces...broken glass.
a silent whisper, "please come back".
an echo came back,..too faint.. alas!

Premium Member Tribute To Harry Horsman
The old oak tree.
So happy I wrote: Lovely!
“Let us hear the bluebell call,
the daffodil pray,
the apple blossom bear witness.”
I hip hip hurrah’d this paradigmatic poem.
I read it a few minutes ago and thought aww…
how do I comment now, so Harry will see.
So glad I had read this in the past,
before our dear Harry passed. Suddenly,
I hear one solitary and full-fledged chirp outside.
Has Harry stopped by?
Dabbing an eye....

Stir
the streets

like a mirror topped

frozen river

reflecting light

of the winter sunrise

night withdraws

reluctantly

dabbing windows

and roof tops

with its frost

paint brush

as it goes

in the zero hours

the streets

are vacant save

for the sole

delivery man

lights begin to go

on in apartments

after alarms

the hive stirs

and awakens

an hour later

reflection is lost

to the buzz

of busyness...

Friday
The wind whispers gentle obscenities with it's icy breath...
Assurances that I am truly alone...
I stumble and fall on the hard concrete...
The true fallacy is home...
Walking aimlessly into the night...
I focus on all that I've lost...
I jot down random words..
Rhyming at any cost...
The song in my head is slightly off key...
Still dabbing the blood from my injured knee...
I'm always making it all about me...
I rot in this prison yet I am free......

Premium Member Anthony's Anthem
Anthony
Weary of things once craved... then became
burning and squirming under life bending lens
caving in to please those spikey-shadowy things
a million mental monkeys to navigate through
not enough butterfly- beauty or bloom.

Another flight into a barbed wire sky
lonely spirit wandering a cloudy lullaby
driven to the fringe of a dead end town,
just another bloated fun house clown
dabbing rouge onto hope's sunken cheek.
                   Anthony...

BEQUEATHED BONNIE SQUARE

                           a lacy handkerchief
  embroidered with a hummingbird,
a nectar-sweet trellis, to sponge
  the waterworks - the trickle
             of misty eyes,
        the honey-suckled creek
     that runs over wrinkled
logs and leafy plum-cheeks.
  delicate hands lift
     the dapper doily —
       pat-a-pat dabbing.
a tattered smile forms
at the base of the cliffs.

Madam
she was on the right hand side,,
i greeted her once
i called her a Madam,
she agreed once,
ouch once upon a time,i greeted her by a Madam once.

it'would be different story if i did pounce to her
it would be less than an ounce
it 'd been a natio-wild
in her biology.
a Madam
dabbing my fingers on a table,
Bonjour Madam
a cog Madam.

the computer screen if facing me,
the poetry competition, write anything about Madam,
i greeted a woman by calling her a Madam....

Premium Member The Aged Picture
For years I kept your picture
Since our dream bloomed
A happy family, we assumed
Our hearts will bond together

Smiling in black and white
Your soft voice resounding
I love you my darling
Everything will be all right

Your smile comes alive
Shaky hand touches your lip
My whisky glass nearby flips
Memento suddenly deprived

With tissue I start dabbing
To save your lovely face
Even it left slight smear trace
In my mind you're still smiling
