Bittersweet
Bittersweet
A misnomer
Like salty chocolate
Or
White the new Black.

Face value
Only
Cut or dried
Perceives.

A severed-meat
Kiln
Hanging
Dry and tasteless
More
Soot on the tongue
Less
Beauty in spaces....

that sees in black or white,
cut and dried, up or down
needing to slow and find
the calm of gray,
the peace in average,
the quiet of second place
enrapt to recapture
the reverence

Premium Member Tribute To My Brother
“Let me go,” my brother cried,
I was always the thorn in his side.
As boys we loved to buck the tide,
We were never ever cut and dried.
He was always quick to deride,
But never let our faults divide.
He looked to me as his older guide,
So, I could never commit suicide!
Always there with arms open wide
My brother is my joy and my pride.
