Cloves In Oranges
cloves in oranges
cinnamon and rain
steam condenses
on cabinets and windows
and as tears
on bric-a-brac angels
purely decorative
their existence in
my mother’s kitchen
I never understood...

Cycles In Circle
I bought a push bicycle,
What a tired to peddle?

I bought a motor cycle,
Then went for a car,

My belly swollen, like a pregnant ma,
No way to go than gym ha,

The gym way to slim peddling cycle!
The gym way to slim tiring cycle!!...

The belly filler
The palm feeler
If five fingers are not busy
It is not good

The must-have
Or else you starve
It's the food that gets you tizzy
It will spark your mood

It is called by its name
Partaking of it is no game
If it does not require a whizz
It is not food...

Rise and Shine
Islet is cold.
Iris is not.
	The moon is frozen.
        The sun is hot.
The morning has come
and it’s time to get up.
Rise and shine my people!

Sun and Fire
I walked down the road, on a sunny day, warm beaming rays upon my forehead
Feeling of exhaustion by the sun almost hot as fire out
, I am left out in the warmth Of fire and sun , wishing for a hand to bring me to a cool place of ease
I will never walk down alone again for the sun has got me weeping
And yearning for a cold ice drink

Workday
While adults are bound by the obligation of work
The children get caught in the routine of school
All are engaged through the days of the work week
To earn a living or prepare for the work life ahead

After the weekend of rest, fun, and labour
The body is forced back into that same routine
Obeying the sequence of those who created the order
Made to ensure unchallenged control of humans...

We Celebrate the Flag
By Franklin Price
6/14/2016

We celebrate the flag today
Long may it wave above
It represents the U.S.A
The country that we love

Fly it proudly, fly it high
Don't let it touch the ground
Honor and salute it
As long as you're around

Those who would degrade it
Bring dishonor to its name
Do not deserve to live here
To respect it's not a game

Many died to keep it
Flying o'er this land we love
It represents the “who” we are
Long may it wave above...
