Premium Member An Annoyance

Feel like an annoyance every damn day Now old and crotchety, a teener should've stayed Young, brash and chipper Was this sweet wee nipper Now a stumbling old retard needing constant aid

Premium Member creepy crabby cruella

creepy crabby Cruella was a cracking crackpot
criticizing creatures until they cringed on the spot
cruel and crosswise, Cruella earned exactly what she got
a crazy, crusty, crotchety old man who smoked yesterday’s pot

Premium Member a knitting moue

Hearing of a sitting mouse is as rare as a sock without a hole.
But today we have a knitting mouse, an afghan is her goal.
She has already made one for a fox, a frog and a foal.
This one is for her crotchety great uncle named mean Joel.

Crotchety

I am feeling crotchety.
It doesn’t make me proud
But, even though I’m female,
At my age it is allowed.

So many things get on my nerves –
Today, alone, a lot.
Enough to get, as sayings go,
My knickers in a knot.

We’re all entitled to a mood
That’s grouchy, grumpy, cross,
Yet some folks never get that way,
And why? I’m at a loss.
Form: Rhyme

My Poor Poems

My poor poems, neither rhyme nor scan, a scandal be damn,

as grand grammarians grumble and crotchety critics cry tumbrels,

while trendy topic pickers poke fun at one so dumb, as so nice and precise

mistresses (or masters) of the art pull me prettily apart; I just go my way -

smile, sigh, ponder and pray that the Muses dear will inspire me without fear.

Snap! Life is gone that fast.
Crackle. Lightning hits him.
Pop! Electricity goes off.
Zap! You are not trained. Do not fool with that electric wire!
Sizzle! Bzzzzz. Pow!
Life rebounds out of your body into heaven.
Yes, life goes that fast.

Dippy

serendipity sure has had a bad temper lately

she is getting crotchety and harder to please
as her years are advancing

always demanding newer and better discoveries
at the expense
of your
last nerve

but she keeps on teaching you things

like,
you need to get reacquainted with yourself
have confidence in your abilities
look for the fortunate chance
that accompanies our
daily lives
despite
the
grind

serendipity keeps us on our toes

Leprechaun

Leprechaun The Leprechaun sprung from the corn, said "me name is Paddy, Dontcha be looking all forlorn, I aint a real gone baddie," "For me pot of gold, sell ya soul, Needing it quite badly," "Egg sucking leaves me cold, Specially when their addley," "Sign this deed ya little nasty weed, Gives me ya souls proxy," Arfur sidestepped to buggery, indeed, poor leprechaun, crotchety…. Faraway Man

Faraway Man

Somewhere distant an owl hoots
A crotchety crow sets the mood
Trees wave in howling wind
Beneath, rickety tombstones sing
Oh seraph, oh seraph wake us up
It is cold here in the dark
Oh seraph, oh seraph your promises
So soothing before
Hollow souls, unanswered prayers
Lying and waiting for the Savior
Despaired and betrayed
Above, the sky cold and grey
Is it epiphany?
Or faith uncanny
