Monday night in my blue flesh
Shouldn’t complain it’s cold
Minnesota will be much crueler
and much warmer too
cozied up with the grandson crew
and their cockapoo

This dude over here, posts four lims a day
Five lines each makes a twenty line buffet
Writing them is a breeze
They flow out with ease
All cozied up under my flowered duvet
carefree
cozied, in an author’s chair,
while mother folds her arms
and clothes,
chasing me away
from my world of dreams
to the shore of chores…
later
she loves to hear
or pretends, like mothers do,
my poetry,
when i am old enough
to view her passing tear

My dream creature was a glorious sight
He kept me warm each and every night
With a walrus face
But he knew his place
And he cozied into it really tight
Some might belittle my alien guy
They might even ask me, why girl, why?
He is ugly sure
But intentions so pure
And man could he ever make me sigh!
I've seen the ugly parts
Of you & I've cozied up
And fell asleep just fine.
Not with the idea of
Perfection
But with how perfect
You blossom in the
Rain.
Umbrellas can only protect
Us from so much.
I love the sound of hard rain.
I love splashing
Between the ditch of your lips
Kissing away the pain
Of yesterday.
No matter how dark the sky
Lounging on the back seat,
Nodding to some beat;
Cozied up against the chill,
Head on the window sill;
Lyrics on the lips,
In between the sips;
Road Lights burning bright,
Behind the eyes closed tight;
Soul singing in peace,
Heart finally at ease;
Terse shoulders relaxing,
Shedding all that's been taxing -
to be run over by the wheels;
So, so tranquil it feels.
