World of Dreams

carefree
cozied, in an author’s chair,
while mother folds her arms
and clothes,
chasing me away
from my world of dreams
to the shore of chores…
later
she loves to hear
or pretends, like mothers do,
my poetry,
when i am old enough
to view her passing tear

I so remember these days "chasing me away from my world of dreams to the shore of chores…" Thank you for the memory!

What tender moments this brings to mind, my dearest friend, Kim. How I would love to live a few of those memories again. Your writing has touched my soul. Hugs and blessings!

I doubt my mother would have read my poems. My daughter maybe. Yet remarkable how loving mothers are, I've lost mine ages ago. Hugs my dearest friend.
